3.0cl vs. 06 rsx-s

I raced my friends bone stock 06 rsx type s today and i won every single time. first we raced from dead stop on skokie blvd. and i just kept inching on him and then we got on 94 and raced from a 60 mile roll and i beat him again...i mean i didn't gain car lengths but i was ahead the whole time. This guy is an experienced driver and knows how to shift well so i don't know why i kept pulling. The rsx-s is well broken in..i think he has about 6000 miles on it. Both on half a tank of gas.

While we were on skokie a blue 350z pulled up next to us and just blasted us. later on we found out he was turbo'd pushing about 420 hp with a turbotronics turbo. The z was too sweet.

the rsx is much faster than the 3.0CL, they run around 14.5 1/4 mile stock.. my cousins 02 type s is really fast, only has an intake, was the guy shifting at 8100 rpm? thats the redline on the type s, it gains so much power after 6k rpm

I raced a 6 speed RSXS (04/05?) when I had the 5AT TL (w/custom cai setup). This guy was stock, possible CAI. I thought haha big bro vs lil' bro this should be fun but v6>i4 I will win...it was suprisingly close! 0-60 was nearly identical for us, and I only started to creep ahead after the shift to 3rd, when we deciced 90mph or so was stop time. Quarter mile would have been too close to call. Now, about this 3.0 vs RSXS killing, I can't say it's impossible but definitely questionable.

EDIT: TL stock is 270/hp/240tq, 3.0 CL is 200/200, so my car should have pulled even harder than yours on the RSXS

Possible.

I hate magazine racers. You should have, he should have, he will, I will......blah blah blah. There are times when you come across a win you cant believe. So be it, congrats man!

I've ran my friend's RSX-S, and lost pretty much everytime. But then I came across others whom I won against. Was it the car, no, was it the driver, yes (with the assumption that the car was in good running condition). But hey, not everyone out there knows how to drive. Take advantage of that...The only error I can assume the driver did was taking his time shifting, and launching it below 5k.

Dont see why people should bash on you. It wasn't your error.

No your story was not an error, but I don't think your result was a normal one. Definitely a confidence booster though. Cocoa does have a point, every race and every strip run is different. On that note, race several rsx-s to better gauge results!

It was back when I had my 3.0 stripped and with full bolt ons, tuned. On the juice, it was a different story

Cant wait to see what the J35 does...

When I had my 02 S2000 I raced a friends CL-S with intake and exhaust. He decided to gut out his trunk (spare tire, his crap etc). So when raced from a dead stop and light to light we were door to door (my S2000 was stock at the time). We hit the freeway and raced from a 65mph roll and door to door UP until 100mph. I pulled away slowly but strong pull. at 130mph I was a good 2 car lengths away from him. These cars can be fast.

RSXs are pretty fast. I have 2nd gen CL and I played with an RSX from red light to red light. from 0-60 I only pulled like a car or a car and half until about 60 something mph. He had an intake and I had I/H at the time. If had some headers I'm sure he could have kept up all the way or beaten me.
