2nd Gen CL video thread
Valves are tricky beasts, a motor with 120k can be within spec while a motor with 12k can be way off. If you hear ticking from the valve train that usually indicates they are slightly out of spec. Mine were way out of spec and very loud, but since the rebuild theyve been perfectly silent.
Tarzan - Were you launching in second on the bike? I noticed the front end didnt lift at all, and it seemed like way too long of a gear to be in first. Looked good though

my motor had a tad bit of tapping coming from the valves, but it's quiet IMO. The purge solenoid is just as loud as the "ticking"
I dunno... for the money I dunno if it's worth all the hassle. If I knew they needed adjusting I'd be inclined to do so.
My car was driven in bumper to bump traffic for it's first 8 years/81000kms... so that could screw the valves up a bit I guess, right??
See my proble.. when its valves/lifters were screwed u heard them banging around, in comparison to my CL now it's like 4-5times quieter.
Car pulls very hard tho, and is very quiet all things considered... so I dunno how i'd tell if i need an adjustment

thats not my bike, its my buddies. 05 R1 w/ full exhaust, power comm. and sprockets. i have another vid of him coming up on the launch. he ran a 9.96 when it was stock, but he said the gearing made it too short and it was impossible to keep the front down now w/o an extended swing arm. hes an amazing rider, .003-.005 r/t non-stop, but idk what he was launching at.

I just finished most of my camera mount. I need to do a few little things to it before its ready for action. Hopefully by the end of the week.
well my local mechanic (who's my buddy) works for my local DLR. and he does work on the side. and he even told me my car is mint and it's a waste of money pretty much.
if anything it's preventative maitenance, not gonna get me any HP.

yeah iam tryna get springs remove air box resonator bigger throttle body lighter rsx flywheels with stage 2 clutch i hate the way the honda one grabs when hard it feals so flimsy iam tryng to mount my camera from the dome light using the whole where the screw goes fabing up a camera stand
I'm going to make a 0-100mph video soon when i get headers.

thanks...i have been searching all over for comptech mufflers and headers...i found some new mufflers for like $500...so much money for comptech stuff..friggin headers are ridiculous too...i'm prob gonna go with dc ceramics...but i won't settle for anything less then comptech muffs
