what rpms your launching and what kind of tires? nice start from a dig with that gt500. what times did you make?

 

goddamn mustang fest when i went =/ ive got another vid of getting raped by a mach1 w/ spray. there was that red gt500 and a black 1, neither driver could handle the launch. i went against that red1 about 4 times, whoever got the launch won by about 2 cars. i dont remember their times but the fastest i ran was a 14.3 @ 101. i had Nitto T555s up front but i still didnt hook up well. my 60' was something like 2.17

 

thats a great result for auto... my CL 6 speed run 14.34 @97.6 it was the best when it was stock on stock tiresbut my 60' was like 2,25

Mine on flat ground is like a full second or 1.5 seconds slower to 100mph. makes no sense

that night vid that i just put up is w/ the mods in my sig. the CL gets anal fluid changes and maintenance by your truly. when i did the valve adjustment the car felt like it got 20+hp. my valves were wayyyy off and my friend that used to be a tech for honda said prob one of the worst spec sets hes heard of so that may help. i cant explain the difference, you have to feel it. it was also 59 degrees when that vid was made =). its hard to find a flat road in tallahassee but it was flat i promise. maybe had a 10ft decline across the distance to 100mph according to googlemaps
tires are 235/45/17

 

tru. well plz do a 1/4 mile this year post ur time and lemme see what ur dealing with. I plan on doing the same

lol no, since you just asked me that i wouldnt suggest adjusting them yourself. they werent even close to oem spec, most were wayy to open and 2 if i remember were too tight. i adjusted them back to oem specs

 

My comment about "knowing" is in reference to my car, way too much noise. But will breAk out the feeler gauges and find out for sure this weekend I hope.

 

see my car is quiet tho... straight up. sounds like everything is mint. so i cannot see it being the valves... sure there is a LIL noise, but that's all cars

 

Valves that are too tight are worse then loose valves. Im not trying to scare you or anything, just keep that in mind.

my motor only has 67000miles on it tho... valves cannot be screwed after that short a period of time... can they?

 

im pretty sure it has nothing to do w/ mileage, its how they come from the factory, break in period, etc. someone w/ longer honda valve experience should chime in
