This setup was destroying my car.The whole front bumper,grill,sounded like it was going to break off.Now I have twice as much power and alot more deadener.

God I love this turbo video. Found this the first year I had my CLS and always is in the back of my mind. We'll have to make a new one that you can actually see when Tom finishes his!

Maybe we can get a burn out comp with members vids that would be cool to seeing what the current members got.

 

That blue one doing the burnout is mine. I wish I woulda gotten the burnout I did just before that as I didnt roll at all and it just sat there and smoked both tires. I plan on doing a similar finish to my winter tires I'm about to replace, so look forward to that.

I think I have some vids from the 1/4 mile and road course that I can get uploaded kinda soon.

I was just gonna suggest the same thing! I have done a couple vids for my buddies at their meets. I can't shoot when i'm driving in ours so it sucks not to be able to put some work down. but with these i could do some nasty work! Here is a sample of the last one I did:

Thanks, thats what I want to do on our cruises, but I can never get someone to ride shotgun and get footage. Maybe next season, when we can get something together! But all the stuff you guys have been posting would still be something interesting.

No, it would be closer but even with his mods on a 6 speed its still just a high 13 sec car, and the Bullit runs high 13's bone stock, and with minimal mods will walk away from a CL-S pretty easily.

Did the Bullit in the vid have any mods?

 

naww the bullitt was stock. with 100k on it... same as my car. same year as my car.

I did have a ful tank of gas, and shit in the trunk... but w/e

i was impressed anyways.

i read that car can do 13s no problem, so I am very pleased with the results of the mods.

my car is LOW 14 s then which is RIGHT where I wanted it.

I just like having a big ass sleeper that I can be lazy in and not worry about driving stick.

it saves a guy like me a lot of money in the long run since I'd go through a set of tires every year with this car if i drove it like I did my probe.

 

13's easy if the driver is really good and a good launch. They only made ~ 10hp more than the GT's, so not that much faster. They may have had better gearing though ( 3.55 vs. 3.27 IIRC).

 

yea they got totally different suspension, brakes, manifold, exhaust and a couple other things.

Either way i am happy with the results for SUREE.

Yeah I've driven multiple 03 Cobra's (stock and bolt-on) and they are fast, but you do get used to the power. My Cobra when completed should mph in the low-mid 120's, which it still not like crazy fast.

Its not until ~ 550rwhp that stuff starts to feel really fast.

I understand him though. I had a Civic that I thought was fast, then it became slow (it actually was slow though, I was in high school). Then the Prelude, same thing. And now the CL. It doesnt feel quick, at all. Then when I have passengers in the car I say its slow then do a quick run they say im fucking retarded.

I find myself doing the same thing though with my CL-S, I complain about it being sow then take someone who isnt a "car guy" in it and get on it, and they are always impressed with the power. Its just that especially after the winter I get an itch to drive something with a bunch of tq down low and "pin your ass back" acceleration.
