28.6 mpg!! N.Carolina goes for the Gold
Well other than all the rattles I heard on Banner Elk's less than perfect mountain roads, I got 27 mpg there and 28.6 mpg back (downhill) on the first long trip I've taken. Not bad for 80+ mph average. Nearly got stung twice by Tennessee Highway Patrol even with the V-1. Damn instant on-I go for the brake pedal-screw the nose dive. I swear the Gold caused a LOT of attention. Seems to be more of an attention getter now than when I bought it Aug. 1st. Had half a dozen people come up to me in the last 4 days asking about the "cool color". Now to take that dash/guage panel off and find that intermittent noise!! 30K should be QUIET.

COuld you tell how much your rpm range was?
I believe that the rpm range and variation is directly proprtional to mpg you get.

- Wheels locks.

Other than the first 25-30 miles of spirited mountain driving, my rpm's at 80 were around the 2K range on Interstate 40, which accounts for the great mpg figure I got. Normally I average only 23 or so. These cars can vary a lot in mileage figures, especially if you enjoy hearing the VTEC.

I live in freakin snowenn freezin New England, err New Hampshire. It could be also the winter grade shity gas we have here.
But really with your mods I don't believe you a sec. Don't you push it to the floor couple times a week, at least? that would get you back to low 20s MPG.
