2. I'm pretty sure that Nitto makes a 225/40-18 with your load requirements as well.
If you want 225 sized tires on 18” rims -- with load ratings higher than the 88SL -- consider going to a 225/45-18. The 225/45-18 has a better load rating (compared to the 225/40-18) and its diameter is about 2% greater than the stock setup.
BTW – you are correct about the max pressures, load ratings, and other data being incorrect from time-to-time. Toyo and other manufactures also do not proof very carefully (The Toyo 235/45-17 T1S Proxy has the incorrect max-pressure listed on its site; it is 50PSI). IMO -- Always call the manufacturer to check the actual ratings
