2003 CL S Fog Install with TL Switch DIY
Well I finally got everything wired up and it's all working, so here is my install process:
These are the LED Strips I got off amazon: . They have relays built in so you can hook them up to a + source to turn them off, but I didn't connect that to anything since I wanted control over them with the TL switch.
Here is my wiring diagram:
I included an optional relay that will turn the lights off if your kit doesn't have them built in. I didn't use this optional relay.
I got the relay and socket off of amazon also for cheap.
Now time to mount the lights to the bumper.. here's my first attempt:
Then I took the bumper back to the car only to realize my wiring and bolts cause the bumper to not fit on the car anymore
Brought the bumper back and grinded the bolts down, and re-routed the wiring...
Aaaand it fits.. phew.
Now to wire up the relay and fuse.
Thats everything wired up and the fuse holder is glued to the relay.
And then the fun starts.. trying to wire up the TL switch without buying the harness for the back.
Socket broken away:
My soldering workplace...
All pins soldered and heatshrunk
Added some hot glue to hold everything in place
Switch and relay ready to be all wired up...
The next fun part was finding a damn hole in the firewall to run my trigger wire through. After some searching on here I found the hole above and to the right of the gas pedal through the insulation. View from the engine bay
Zoomed out view.. before wiring up the relay in the engine bay.
I don't have a pic of the finished wiring in the engine bay.. forgot to take one and it was dark out.
Next was wiring up the TL Switch. What a pain to get my vampire clips onto the cruise control harness, but after much frustration, I got it wired..
Lights on...
Everything worked first try.. nice. Here's some shots of the lights now. They are super bright. I'm trying to decide if I want to use some leftover oracal 8300 I used for my tail tints to tint them a bit for leaving them on at night.
LEDs and headlights with flash
Just the LEDs, no flash.. They are bright!
And finally.. both on no flash
And that's it. After much frustration, I'm happy with the install. I'll see if I piss anyone off at night with how bright they are before I decide to tint them or not.
Enjoy!

LEDs look good, they would be cool for DRLs too. But I think there's too much empty space below the lights, I would have tried to see if I could cut the roadlamp inserts to fit the LED lights into them.
I couldn't tell in the pic but you know that the little gauge on the dimmer switch lights up right? Just FYI in case your's is burnt out because I didn't see it in the pic.

The kit is actually a DRL kit, and I just chose to wire it differently.
Good looking out on the dimmer switch.. it's definitely burned out. never noticed it before. Thanks for giving me something else to fix
I was considering cutting out the inserts to make a nice housing. And I know it looks like there's lots of room under them from the pics, but honestly in real life with the bumper on the car, and not on my ottoman, it's really hard to tell anything is missing under the LEDs unless you know what you're looking for.
I imagine at a CL meet everyone would notice, but it's working for me right now. I'lll probably get anal about it sometime soon and try and do something with the empty space when I get bored.
I'll post some daytime pics tomorrow to show what it looks like.

Grammo, nice work on those LEDs.
Wondered if anyone has tried installing these fog lights on 03 CL?

^^ Those look like accord fogs. and yes they work with some modifications. Couple of members have installed those on their cars. P. Diddy is one of the main ones I have seen He has good pictures of the modifications he did to fit in his cl.
