Whoa ... if these numbers are real, that puts you in the Z06 level and a E46 M3 spanker. Beautiful car, please post your numbers soon!

I was wondering about that. our cars have relatively high compression ratios.
What kind of mods you do to combat detonation ??

All Motor 2000:
first of all, I want to say congratulations and nicely done on your CL-S 6 speed. second of all, I was wondering how did you run a 13.9 @ 99MPH on the NA CL-S??? I have a TL-P with headers, cold air intake, pulley, comptech exhaust, and Venom 2000 3-stage computerized nitrous at 75 shot. I ran a 14.001 at 104MPH. I would like to know how you launched the car. and what kind of tires/temperature/sea level was it for you to get a 13.9 at 99??? Cuz from my trap speed, I should run a lot faster. Plus my 60 foot time was 2.6 so I'm trying to cut down the 60 foot time, is there any tips??? Thanks.

damn... try lowering the front tire pressure and dont spray out of the box. a 2.6 is horrible. keeping that in mind your trap speed seems to be preety dead on for a 14 sec even.

did you let off the gas after you started spinning?

you should be on a 1.9 60ft time and all things considered the 1/4 mile time shoulg be in the 13.6-13.8. (my best guess considering all the spraying first gen's)

He posted his run a long time ago. Do a search (if it is working again). I think his run was at Carlsbad with normal SoCal conditions.

I beleive he swapped his tires/wheels for 16" and slicks (if I recall correctly). He also has a six speed manual and from what he's posted, has quite a bit of driving experience.

I think his 13.9 reflects what our six speeder can do with a good driver and the right conditions.

The 13s NA run was on drag radials... my 60' was 2.09 or something like that. I launched at 2.8K with 12psi in the tires. I could have gotten a better 60', but the track conditions weren't that great. Other than that, it was Comptech Headers and a custom-made intake... that's it!

The 6spd will run 14.4's to 14.5's all day long... STOCK. With the headers, intake and a tad better traction, 13's are very possible.

On your setup, your 60's it very bad... don't squeeze off the hole... just end of 1st (AFTER YOU HOOK UP) and then onwards. Just fixing your 60' will drop your E.T by 6/10's at least... I think you will run a 13.5 or 13.6 with your setup, like someone else stated.

If you are in SoCal you can borrow my Nitto's. Slicks is a little too much for these cars especially with a stock clutch and a troubled auto tranny.

I really don't want to get into the costs of things... for several reasons.

All the parts were purchased seperately and I did a good portion of the install. I had the custom A-pipe, downpipe and intercooler-piping fabricated for me. All the electronics, vacuum-line routing, fuel-line mods, battery relocation etc. were done by me.

If you had all the parts and took it to a place for the fabrication + install, you'd probably have to spend around $2500 for everything.

Retail prices:

Turbo - $850
Wastegate - $300
Blowoff - $250
FPR - $300
Fuel Pump - $200
Mugen T-Stat & Fan Switch - $100
Custom Intercooler - $700
Misc. gauges, lines, tee's etc. - $300

That's a total of $3000 + $2500 = $5500.

Now, you can't put a $$ value for the time, debug and trial-error stuff that goes on with doing something that's one-of-a-kind, so I am sure there's another % increase there.

If you get stuff at cost and can do a lot of stuff yourself, take about $1000 off.

Honestly, if I was to sell this kit, I'd ask $4.5K even though it would be used. It's a one-of-a-kind and top quality!

Mass-produced... this kit will cost about $4.5K like Comptech, but has several upgrades:

Front-Mount Intercooler
Mugen T-Stat & Fan Switch
325 to 350whp @ 6psi
