I never knew the 2001 type-S rims are made by enkei...I noticed it when I was cleaning my stock rims before I put them in...

Enkei

My friends Miata has stock rims made by Enkei also.

I asked him once why he hadn't replaced them with aftermarket and he said no way would he.

He then showed me how light they were. You could lift one up partically with your pinky. Light as hell and tough, I was impressed.

Besides our rims get curb rash (fixed with the Toyos) all the time I really like them.

The only problem I have with the wheels is the centers, they peel back and look like sh*t. Any one else have this problem

I'm talking about the acura logo on the stock rims. It's glued on the center. I've had them replaced twice already. I just wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else

No he's not. I know exactly what he's talking about because one of my rims is starting to do it.

The Acura 'A' in the center is starting to peel up and away from the center cap. Have to glue it back on or get the center cap replaced.

well i stand corrected, would it be so much trouble just to get the center cap changed out? i know the dealer usually charges an arm and a leg for everything, but it cant be that much of a hassle is it?

I don't think it would be that much of a hassle either.

BUT as you said the dealer usually charges and arm and a leg for everything. (Time to find some CA or such)

as long as my car is under warranty i would not pay to have that fixed i would demand new center caps each time that i would incur this problem ... my argument would simply be its not wear and tear its shitty quality so far this has not happened to me my caps look perfect but i would bitch at my dealer like theres no tommorow (usuallly a good service manager would just hook you up )

If our rims were lighter, I probably wouldn't change them!!! I think they look pretty good, it's just that they are tooooo heavy!!!!
