Ok, well I am just curious whats going on....
First off when I turn my car the Maint. Req light keeps blinking like 20 seconds after all the light go off. Now I just hit 60,000 miles for I am due for the 60,000 mile service could that be it? And if it is, is there any way to manualy reset it? Like on the hondas and my old Legend there was the little square that used to turn yellow and then red indicating that its time for maint.
Then, from time to time when I have a passanger in my car, my side airbag light goes on. I dont know why that keeps happening.
Thanks guys

I have the airbag light turning on sometimes too.... Here's what the dealer told me... If someone in the passenger seat is sitting at an odd angle or if there is anything pushing on the side of the seat the light will come on. I payed attention from then on out and sure enough my girl sits crooked in the seat sometimes and the light comes on. Another time my snowboard was cramed in the back seat and the bottom edge was hitting the bottom of the pass seat, like clockwork, light came on. The only other time I noticed it was when it was really cold out and I first started the car. Hasen't been on since.

As for the Airbag, it does that when the computer thinks that deploying the side airbag will harm the passanger, such as if they are leaning on the door or sitting funny. The driver side does the same thing.

Thanks guys, damn I am an idiot, I knew that was the case, I even though that to my self. It first happend when I was driving my buddy home after a club and he was out. He was sitting in an ackward possition and the light was going off, but I just figured I was drunk so I ignored it. And a coupla days ago I was sitting with a girl in my car and the car was on, and she had her legs over me sitting sideways and the light was on.
Thanks.
Thanks.

all you have to do is shut the car off, hold in the select and reset buttons, turn the car on(while still holding the buttons) and hold them in until the light shuts off. approx 10-15 seconds. It's as simple as that. (could've just looked in the owners manual like i did)
Airbag light comes on if there's a passenger in the seat and they don't have their seat belt on.

i could be wrong but it should come on reguardless if the passenger has a seat belt on or not. it only matters if the passenger or some object is resting on the door and the air bag can't. shouldn't deploy. my ex fell asleep all the time with her seatbelt on and the light would come on if she leaned on the door while sleeping.

Side SRS light works independently from the seat belt operation, meaning whether you are buckled in or not, it will only go off if something is wrong with the sensor/system, or if the passenger is sitting at an odd angle so that the computer thinks if the SRS deployed it could injure the occupant.
