19's with 225's or 235's

Quick Question what would be the best tire size for a 19x8 rim with a 45 offset on a cls with comptech springs. I want to go with 235's but the shop said it might rub.. I rather have the wider tire in order to protect the rims but then again dont want to rub.. THANXXX for the help..

Go with 235.
I don't know what kind of drop you have (if any) but it doesn't rub with a Comptech drop.

(so I've heard )

Use the 235's. I don't think 225 or 235 will make the difference of rubbing or not.

Ok I guess I'm the voice of reason

8" rim with a +45 offset and 235 series tires = rubby rubby.

Hey don't take my word for it. I don't know shit.

The 235/35-19 on 19x8s is supposed to work on a 2 inch lowered car. The offset was +51, and I'm pretty sure the tires were Nitto 555s. A now absent member had this setup and said it worked without EVER rubbing. I never drove in the car, but he seemed to be a source of reliable information...

Who knows about +45 offset. I would have found the +51s just to make sure it worked.
