180hp from a supercharger!!!
I was just watching this show on TV where they installed a supercharger on a Cobra. They got 180 more HP out of it. That is awesome. I can only hope we will also get gains like this.

I read in the latest Turbo magazine that the
Civic Si' SC from Vortech (10 PSI) will pull 278HP!!!! on the dynojet! Almost doubled the HP number!
That is fooking 40HP more HP than any CLS dynoed ever!

We just need to make sure our transmission can handle the additional torque!
I'd like to get a max torque figure from a Honda or Acura Guru...

Does anyone know if the Paxton SC that comptech uses in the S2000 is a centrifugal type like the Vortech or roots/eaton type like JRSC?
My guess is that CompTech would use a roots/eaton style SC since it gives better low end gains, and is probbly more "driveable" than a centrifugal which has to be reved high to make power.

you can get even more HP out of those turbo and SC applications. It all just depends on the amount of boost your willing to run. the more boost the more HP. For example, lets say you get a 55 HP gain at 4psi. At 6 it would be aroun 85HP gain. At 12 probally about 120HP; etc.
also, that civic wasn't run right. I have a buddy w/ the same set up thats in the low 13's.

my mom and bestfriend have told me to tell you guys to stop telling me to spend my money; they are tired of my automobiles getting pampered and them getting whats left over which usually consists of change I find in my car by doing things you guys encourage

I saw it too, I think it was on HORSEPOWER TV on TNN. That show is awsome BTW, they work on all types of cars (though mainly domestic) Ive seen everything from a old Deuce Coupe to a Turbo Civic on there. TNN and SpeedVision have great shows about cars. I think they ended up with about 425 Horsepower off of the Cobra. Must be nice to have a dyno right there where you can test out your latest mods

Check out DynoJets website... You can purchase an entire pit dyno for under $30k. The elevated dyno's are a little more money I think but I don't remember the exact prices right off.
Wouldn't that be the shia, have a 3 car garage with your own DynoJet and invite the boys over for your own test n' tune sessions.

I am sure that we can collect a $100 from 300 members of acura-and buy 1 Dynojet. Then, you can test and tune as much as you like. It is kind of acura-cl membership benefit
