1000 miles

I just got my first 1000 miles on 03 CL/S. So far [knock on wood] I think i've been pretty lucky on quality issues:

One to two grinding noises just after starting driving: I believe this is ABS or stability assist self test

Slightly rough shift from 1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd. I've noticed a similar lurchy shift on all honda automatics. Toyota seems much smoother.

The plastic cover over the front driver side roof support FELL OFF during the great heat wave of 2002. It snaps back into place, but not very securely. Has anyone else experienced something like this or is this a new one? Does this piece easily pull off on other people's cars?

No unknown squeaks or rattles [except the pen rolling around in the center console, and an inverter sliding around in the trunk].

My passenger side roof support fell off around the same time, ~1000 miles.

Get the dealership to glue it on, and it will stick for good, thats what they did to mine.

Secondly, the grinding sound is normal, check out Chods FAQ for an explanation.

I believe I have been nice to it but did not baby it. It has not been revved over 4500rpm, and about 200 miles are freeway. Was not over 65 for first 600, but has been up to about 80 since. No peelouts, races, mods, dynos.
