Next time youre at the track drive normal. I mean, launching it is kind of a cheap win. Amirite?

LOL @ bad mounts not factoring much. When I was running standard bolt-ons (intake, header etc), I couldn't break out of the 14's. Once I replaced the mounts I was in the 13's.
Also get rid of those Ron Jons. If you're looking for strictly a faster vehicle, get some Volks or SSR wheels, not el cheapo Pep Boy specials (not saying RJ's are cheap, but are not conducive to what you're attempting to achieve). I would probably tell you to go 17's as well as Jersey roads suck and a good set will clear a BBK, but most idiots want the OMG HELLA FLUSH Fill the Wheel well having the rubber poke out the fender look... whatever... do what you want.

I agree with you JBlue but 17s looks kinda small on cl. I found on craigslist 2 OZ superlaggera 17x7 for 100$ mint cond. But bolt pattern is 5x100 they are like15-17lbs rims. I think RJ are best bang for buck rims they look good on car and they were dirty cheap.
P.S. Thank you for your statment

That was funny like ten months ago! Let it go already!
Beside you're the only one doing it!
yeah go to the track and leave your traction control on to otherwise it won't count, and don't air down your tires either. You might as well de mod it also cause it won't count! Wow.

Too many people are caught up on aesthetics (which is solely the opinion of the viewer) and not the functionality, practicality (once again NJ metro area roads) and performance improvements (acceleration, improved braking... hell lets throw in improved gas mileage).
I sported 18's previously too... however once I went 17's I sure didn't think they looked any worse, and I still gained all the positive attributes listed above. But you can listen to many of these idiots that populate these forums who have their wheels poking out 3 inches and think it looks great. But hey, keep bending, cracking wheels if you think it's worth the headache to have 1 more inch on your wheels.

i think its up to owner to decide which route they will go... performance or look either way none of them is idiot but i think there is a way to get these two ways together... light 18 wheel wont be much worse than 17 but i do agree 17 will be faster but then again someone who goes for looks he will get 19-20 inch which are way too big for my taste i think ill be fine with 18 but would not complaint to have other set light 17 or 16 very light for track use only... maybe its just me but im looking for two just two rims that will fit my needs...(cheap and light and maybe looks good)

and 18's still have a bit of side wall left, so they still ride good (and still not have even come close to bending a rim, and i am not the most careful either , gotta still keep it practical to drive, especially when going faster)(now i did run over something the other day, and it took a chunk out of the tire's tread [cords were actually showing ], but the rim was just fine though)

I love my 18s. 17s look too small and 19s look too big.
I however do not like hellaflush or whatever the hell they want to call it where theres so much negative camber and the tires are 4 sizes too small. Not a fan. But if they like it, so be it.
Ill take a flush, ie - properly aligned, proper tire size, and even with the fender or a few millimeters sunken in.
