The CL65 AMG has a 612-hp V-12 engine and can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. The engine is based on the S-Class V-12 with modifications that include larger bores, a longer crankshaft, higher turbocharge pressure, higher-strength parts and higher fuel flow that increase its output and torque. The power plant mates to a five-speed-automatic transmission, which features steering-wheel-mounted SpeedShift buttons. Chassis and driveshaft modifications help hold it all together in a speed drift.
