03 Cl-s 6 Sp Electrical Probs
I am having a little problem with my Cl. A while back there was a flood and my Aem CAI sucked water into my block....
Long story short I got it towed to the dealership they drained everything out and changed all fluids. The car fired right up with ZERO engine problems
But I am having a problem with the electrical system. :
When I roll down the passenger side winder from the drivers seat it jerks as it goes down (and up) but if I roll it up and down from the pass side it works fine. Also the door locks do not work from the driver’s side; because of this my keyless entry doesn't work.
An other issue is the hood light flickers when I turn the engine off but leave the radio on.
BUT HERE IS THE KICKER. If I press the button for seat position memory (the number 1 memory button) I hear a beep and all the problems go away for a while. The locks work, as does the remote, window goes down with no jerks and the hood light is steady.
What in the world could possibly cause this? This makes absolutely no sense to me. Sometime after pressing the button it will stay fine for days. Other times it goes back to being broke after 15 min.
Any advice or suggestions that you guys could give me would be extremely appreciated.

I didn't realize that I didn't post this. When the engine sucked water up, the drivers side interior got a flooded with water. The water was up to the pedals all the way back to the backseat. I was able to get all the water out after they fixed the engine and all works fine except for this problem.
There are no problem with the seat controls just the problems listed above.
I think the water might have corroded a connection or something, but I don't understand how pushing the seat memory button could fix it all in a half a second.
Do you guys still think that something came loose?

sounds like a nightmare.
first thing i would do is check ALL fuses, driver AND passenger side. check underhood fuses as well. i can't tell you how many times i've been trying to trace an electrical problem and all it ended up being was the fuse. when i say check, i mean TEST it, don't just eye.
a wire in and of itself won't really get damaged from water since they are all insulated. it's internals and connections that get messed up. check all plugs and connectors.

a little update on this. When I put my headers in last week I D/C the battery to reset the ecu while installing. When I plugged it back in all of the problems that I was experiencing went POOF. Thank god, I think it may have been a bad connection from when they hooked it back up after draining the water out of the engine. Hooked it back up and its as good as new!!!!
