looking to take the next step in my supercharged build. seeing how as the true manual aem is 2k, i was wondering if i can swap to an auto harness and sensors and use the aem 6051? ive had the engine and harness out of the car and i dont see why it wouldnt just be pnp. any ideas?

There is no real true manual AEM EMS 2. You can get an AEM EMS 6050, jump a harness to make it accept a Hall sensor, and make a 1 off harness connector or repin. This is what you get when you buy "true manual" EMS.

Or you can just use the 6051 box and use the automatic Mag sensors. This should be PnPish.

There are 2 connectors that connect the engine wire harness to the engine bay driver's side harness. Auto and manual have the same size connectors, but the pins would be slightly different. You could repin them to make everything work, but you'd probably be better off spending the extra money on the modified 6050 box. They do all the dirty work for you.

hmm... almost 700 more for the dezod unit.. spending 2k on a ecu is a little excessive for a 14 year old car. ill pull up the connector pinouts at work and try to make the auto harness work.

How do you plan on getting the coolant gauge to work? Or do you not mind if the coolant gauge doesn't work?

The joys of modding a car with no aftermarket support..

Pay to play as always..

You should reconsider the Plug n Play option. Do you know how to tune the EMS 2?

Because the 30-6051 box doesn't output a coolant temp gauge signal. You should read the pinouts of both the stock ECU and the EMS 2 before you buy anything.

Is converting an auto cls into a manual from the same year worth doing? I have access to a complete 6-speed swap but am not sure if swapping it over to the auto is worth the time and money. Any advice?
