'02 Saab Aero to '03 CL-S?

hey everybody, I'd really appreciate if y'all could give me some insight/comments about getting a new car.

I lost my car (an '02 Saab 9-5 Aero, manual trans) in an accident a few months ago - I was rear-ended and the car got totalled. so, I'm now looking for something new. I really liked the saab - pretty low-key, not a lot of people had them, fairly quick, good-looking.

now, I'm looking at an '03 CL-S 6 speed. I like the car, it seems like it's pretty good, but they're really popular, and I don't know if it's worth the $31,5 that the dealer is asking. I won't be doing a lot of mods - just tint and stereo.

I also looked at (and decided against) a cadillac CTS (awful interior) and a BMW 330i (not worth 40k, poser car, and they litter the streets of cities).

I definitely need a usable back seat, and I'd like lots of power, a manual trans. any other cars I oughta consider?

thanks in advance for your responses.

How about looking at the infiniti g35 coupe. Also, if you do your homework, you will be able to get a CLS really CHEAP from the dealers.

The 3-series are all great cars - don't get me wrong. It's just that I know a B]ton[/B] of people who drive them solely based on the fact that they have a huge amount of snob value thanks to those propeller logos on the front and back. I'd rather not be associated with that kind of thing. no offense, dude.

How much is "really CHEAP" for an '03 CL-S 6 speed?

Im sure you can get it with navi for $31k. best way to do that is email about 4 dealers around you, saying that you will pay 31k to the first dealer who agrees to that price for a 6pseed with navi. Let me fight over you.

I agree with Crazy that you should be able to get a Navi CLS6 for about $30-31k. You might even be able to get a non-Nav for $29k.

As far as alternatives, I like the G35 coupe and 330ci (but then again the price and you already mentioned you are not interested). I am assuming that you want a coupe with a functional back seat right? I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three aforementioned cars. good luck!

6 speed all the way for around $30k no navi. You won't regret it. Alot better performance than the Saab.

Invoice or a little over invoice. I got my non-navi 6spd for about $500 over invoice. If you do some searching in the archives, you'll find that other posts about what people paid.

FYI: don't go buy OTD (out the door prices) as taxes vary from state to state, and can also be deceptive when trades are involved.
