My friend at work recently got a 02' civic SI hatch. Completely stock. He claims it would smoke my 2.2 cl w/CAI & exhaust. Should I and could I put him in his place?!

 

hmm well i dont know..your car weighs more and have less HP..just make sure you have your spare off and stuff...it should be a driver's race! good luck

Yeah i wish i had a 3.0 but i don't wanna give up my stick. Those new civics are DOHC and my cl is SOHC. I noticed he gets a little bit more power from a complete stop than me, but do you think if i had the I/H/E combo it would make enough difference to dust his ass??

with CAI and exhaust(muffler only).. hez gonna pull on you for sure... but if u have more mods you can def take on a 02 civic si...

i've got an auto 2.2.. and with all the bolt ons... including pulleys/biger pipings... you can pull on a SI... i'm talking from experience... oh ya.. i have stripped my rear interior btw...

 

Dude, you can beat him if you get a good launch! I have beaten 2 of those ugly things so far. You will pull hard on him through first because you have more torque. He might try to pull back in the end of 2nd/beginning of 3rd, but if you just race to like 60 you can beat him. I pull on every integ/rsx of my friends in first, and by the end of 2nd were about even. Once the gs-r/rsx-s hit 3rd they are gone. This is only if i have a great launch tho. Oh yeah i have e/cai/h
