Holy crap have you ran this at the track? Would probably make more money if you part it out cause not a lot of people are in the market for "modded" cars

i think you should sell me all that for $1500. actually i put it back to stock. i would think a modified cl would cater to an even smaller niche market than a stock one would.

holy crap. i didnt even know this car existed. im sure there'd be potential buyers..but you'd probably save more time parting it out.

This is the 3rd Trans. Latest was about 2K miles ago. All previous Trans didn't really break down. First starts to have convertor noise around 25 K and 2nd because I was quitting Acura and 3rd because my friend was quitting. Hemhaw. Don't you want to smoke a 6spd Trans while sipping on a big gulp?

Dude -

I am so tempted... I love my '01 SMR, and I've been looking at moving up to a 6 spd (with navi, of course), so that I could do more serious mods. I just can't see hanging an SC on a 5 YO car with a glass tranny.

But your ride is so sick, and the color is so , well...

If I were going to buy another slushbox I'd want one just like yours.

How much are you asking, BTW?

I was wishing for 23K. A lot of love and work have when into this car. It has factory Navi too! Replacment Trans is holding up better than people want to believe. I wanted a 6spd but changed my mind, after all I don't go around trying to race everyone. With what I have in the car, I can't stop both front wheels from spinning. In 1st gear, it will break both tires loose at any speed! Basically Launching is a bad thing, TCS is going to come on and stay on till you are in 2nd. I am boosting over 10psi with pump gas.

Nawwww - It's a piece of art! Someone should buy this puppy complete, and slap an RJ body kit on it.

Breaks my heart to see something like this parted out...

I hate to see you go. You've been on this board much longer than me and have been at the front of the line in engine mods and experimentation with pulley's etc. Nice car and it's one of a kind, PDG cl's are an oddity and a cool one at that. I'd part the car out and sell the parts. Your handy with a wrench so the removel won't be an issue. Selling the IC may take some time, but there's plenty of that, the other stuff will go pretty quick I'd suspect. Good luck with it.

All that work put into it....I'd try to sell it complete first. But if you need to sell it faster, than parting it out would probably be the choice. If you're considering parting, I'd be interested in your suspension and a few other parts.

Wow. There's a lot of work there. Nice ride! I hate to say it but if you want to get rid of it and get your money out of it, you're going to have to part it out. Unless the righ person comes along (and they are few and far between), you're going to have a hard time selling it as is. You also might have a hard time selling it just because of the engine swap. Nice car though.

You want a complete swap! 3.5L Engine, I/C, and S/C? It could be done in 2 days.
If I decided to part the car out, the I/C and S/C would have to go first before anything else. I would preferred S/C and I/C buyer to be local. I would like to show the buyer all parts are working prior to removal. ThinJim, I will hate to see this car get part out. A lot of love and countless hours have been spend on this car! I build this car to be a sleeper. humm.. ok a semi-sleeper. It's all worth the time and $$$, if you saw the face of that guy in a S2000 when he was 6-7 cars behind me!

If you decide to part out, i may be interested in the comptech sc. Are you by chance located next to EMT in the rowland heights area? Let me know on the status of parts, thanks.

I have a much better proposition for you. We'll simply trade cars. Then you can sell mine. You'd have a MUCH easier time selling my SMR, than you would your PDG. Okay, Trade+ some cash. But I get to keep my wheels. Sounds a little out-landish, but it's an awesome idea. Let me know. That way you won't have to part her out, and you'll be selling to someone who'd be appreciating it.

How much are we talking about? You can pm me. Big mike, the 1st trans started to have coverter noise before supercharger was installed. 2nd was with S/C, I/C and 3.5L engine. It held up well, with no problem. I decided to change it because my buddy was quitting Acura. Johntype: please pm me what you need.

haha Nah I'm not a customer at EMT, the owner Mike and I are good friends and he used to tell me about your car. haha We're both from Team Hybrid, so when I did my motor swap, he told me about your car as well. Sad to see it go, he told me it's pretty beastly...I'm sure the pics don't even do it justice. Let me know if you wanna work anything out on the sc.

PIMP DADDY GOLD. PIMP DADDY GOLD.

say it w/ me now.

well i suppose you either love it or hate it =P.

I had a 5 minute argument w/ my female friend on that color.

I then proceeded to reach over, unbuckle her seatbelt, open the passenger door and made a hard left turn.

My Accord was a manual before the swap, but that factor didn't really make the swap any easier because I had the 4 cyl. 5spd. So we swapped the sub frame, etc. etc. basically everything forward of the firewall is now either OEM Accord v6 now or CL-S. No big problems as of yet, I daily drove it for about 10k miles with no issues. I try not to put too much mileage on that car though so I don't drive it as much now.
