Work or Enkie wheels

I need some help in choosing some rims for my car, 2007 GBM auto tsx. I was going to get Enkie EKM3 in hyper black at 18x8. I have always loved the mess look and didn't want to loose too much performance with larger rims. But now I have an opportunity to buy some Work wheels XSA 02C Mighty in matte bronze. They are 19x8 offset of 40, 235/35 Yokahama S drive. They come with Work locking lugs in red anodized and work valve stems. Tpms is mounted inside tire. I can pick them up for $1700, pretty much the same price as the Enkie wheels in 18. My dilema is the wife is worried about the ride quality with the larger rims. I am planning on running a nice set of coilovers-- Tein or HT spec. What do you think about bronze on a GBM TSX? I know I have an auto but how will 19's affect performance. I went from 15's to 17's on my GSR and LS without any problems but I have not had 18's or 19's. I originally wanted 18's because I was worried about ride quality and performance but this seems like such a good deal. Comments and advice please.

I have the Enkei EKM3's. Wonderful set of wheels.

I'm pretty low on my Tein Basics and the ride quality is still really good. And for the $$, these wheels are great. Great build quality and they look awesome. I get compliments on my wheels all the time.

Hope that helps a little.

Your car is the one that confirmed for me I orginally wanted teh Enkie wheels. Looks so clean on your car, I was all set to pick them up and then this deal on the Works fell into my lap and got me thinking.

I have the same setup as renedcruz and love it - it provides a nice classy look to the car and I get lots of compliments on it as well.

As for ride quality - I'd guess the Work rim is lighter than the EKM3 (24.6lbs) which means that part makes the ride a bit nicer but the aspect ratio change will harsh up the ride slightly. If you get a softer riding tire (Continental DWS) then you might be ok.

I have the DWS tires and with the EKM3s I found the ride only very slightly firmer than the stock setup which was very surprising to me. The springs I put on did a lot more to firm up the ride.

P.S. I think you meant Hyper Silver and not Hyper Black for the EKM3s.
