Widest possible tires

What do you think (or know) is the widest tire that you can get for the TSX?

If I want to make my TSX a dedicated track car, I would stuff some 255/40/17 Toyo RA1 on 17x9 in the front. Of course, with some more negative camber and most likely some fender work too. But for street, 235 is wide enough.

I've got 225/45-17s on my OEM wheels. Its plenty, but I think if you were really trying, vwong's got it right, 235/40s would work.

vwong, why wouldn't you put it on the track with 16s like RTR does.

RTR uses 17s (maybe 17x8) on 235/40/17. WC series mandate using 235/40/17 tire size only. There aren't enough tires available in 16s that are wider than 225. There are 245/45/16 and 255/50/16 available in Toyo RA1. 255/50/16 is too tall, will hurt gearing. 245/45/16 is nice, but hard to find 16x8 wheels. Most 16" wheels are 16x7.
