My Kumho KW17 snow tires are quieter than the OEM Michelins.

I've never payed much attention to how loud tires are but I guess if I had a really noisy set I would notice.

Check out Tirerack's tire ratings. Road noise is one the the categories.

I think the OEM Michelins are VERY noisy and when the time comes I will definitely swap them for something else.

Bridgestone Turanza LS-T, they are so smooth and quiet it erks me! The LS-V's are pretty quiet but not as quiet as the LS-T's, if the T's were available in the size for the TSX I would have them for summer tires instead of the LS-V's. The original Goodyear Regatta was a quiet riding tire as well, the replacement(Regatta 2) is a piece of shit.

The last time I bought some track tires, I also bought some tires to replace my worn out stockies. I got some Sumitomo HTR's (I believe this is correct, the track tires were Sumitomo HTRZ-II's). They were your typical all-season tire. After rolling on Nitto's, Kumho's, and then the other Sumitomo's, I could not believe how quiet these things were! Mushy ride of course, but vewy, vewy, quiet.

For performance tires, my Kumho Ecsta 712's have been impressive as far as noise level.
