I just got the eibach prokit installed, along with 18x7.5 +40 works on 235/40/18 tires, and there is rubbing in the rear every time I go over bumps in the road.

people...I have read the topic, but unfortunately no one has asked about this size (apart from the information in the firts post)

i have a 2007 honda accord, and would like to get 18" rims, 215/45/18

40 would be too bumpy, so looking at the 45's

the rim will be 7.5", and what offset would you suggest?

Generally offset of +42mm or higher is recommended if you're planning on a drop of any considerable amount.

I assume you're talking about the Euro Accord since you're posting in the TSX forum

Yes, the Euro Accord

But the tires would fit? 215/45/18. I have the stock suspension at the moment..and cannot lower anyways, as it is still under warranty.

20''s? since when are we riding caddys? lmao stay with 18s no drop and if dropped must have camber kit or fender roll ( bad). 17's are perfect on any drop but the bottom is soo prone to getting scraped up at abrupt bumps and high speeds

This looks quite similar with my setup. I am running with Advan RS wheel 17x8 +45, 225/45/17 Pontenza RE001 rubber. Fits perfectly, rear camber -0.5 degree. No rubbing issue. See my photo. (quite identical but is not the same car .. )

Hi everyone,

I'm a noob, so please go easy on me. I'm looking for wheels for my stock TSX. Would a 17x7 with a +38 offset fit my OEM tires without any issues?

Thanks in advance.

I have 18x8 40 offset and they are pretty flush, on the top but they angle a little bit out twd the bottom, less than half inch, so considering your wheel is a half inch less wide than mine from center out.
I believe it will fit, but it will stay pretty flush, which means, as far as I know (and I am also new here, but have read a lot !!!)..you will not be able drop very much to avoid rubbing if that is what you were asking .

Hello all,

I'm considering the Civic JDM FD2 gunmetal wheels for my 2005 TSX with stock suspension. In the future I may lower it about an inch. Anyway, the wheels are 18 x 7.5 with +60 offset. Will this work... since most setups here seem to have smaller offsets of around 33 - 55?

Thanks.

Looking at konig lace 18's. Couldn't find them in 7.5" I know some people have used 8" but never saw a picture and I didn't know if it was a good fit on the tsx. I also wanted to know which offset would be a better pick. I've blown 2 tires this past winter so the lowest I was thinking was 35. Any help would be appreciated Thanks

Hey guys, I am running Enkei EMK3 rims 18x8 with a 40mm offset. From what I have read from the master guide and from the previous pages I still don't feel 100% confidant in purchasing new tires in fear of rubbing. The car is slammed (ride height) I bought it like that. The rear tires are cambered/tucked in the fender so i don't really know the ride height of my car. The current tires I have on the car are 215/45/18's and according to the master guide I should run 235/40/18's if I want to increase the width of my tires. And also one more thing... Would it be pointless or retarded to run 235/40/18's on the front and 215/45/18's on the rear? I want more grip....and im also scared that the lower side walls will implode if i hit a small pothole.... :/ Thanks guys!

-Dan

It depends on the ride height, camber angles, and the actual dimension the particular tires. It will probably fit with stock height but it won't be flush. How about a nice set of SSRs with PS2 tires?

Wheel Make/Model: Work vs-xx
Wheel Size (18x8front 18x9rear):
Wheel Offset (+38):
If lowered (amount):1.5front 1.0rear

I'm sure someone has asked if these will fit on a tsx with any problems, but my computer is really slow to search through all the pages lol. Also, what tire size should I use?

Hello guys,
I've read all the 7 pages but still have a Q: has anybody tried R16 wheels on Acura TSX? Earlier I was told that R16 wouldn't fit because of large size of brake supports on TSX, however the table in the first post reads R16 wheels should fit.

Anybody knows for sure?

Tire sizes 215 50R17 vs 215 55R17?

i just got tires replaced on an acura tsx sedan. stock was at 215 50R17. costco replaced them with 215 55R17.is there any noticeable ride handling difference between 50R vs 55R besides it riding a bit higher? anything else i should be aware of?

I just got new tires 225/45/17 potenza re960's. I'm not sure of the size yet not sure if I need to shocks or tie rods cause the steering feels a loose and on corners a little unsure. I seen the sizing chart and it was within the 2.0 range well 1.9 so right there. I had the 960's in the oem size but got these as they were lots cheaper. Anyone else have this size?

Hi,

Thought the wheels I was looking at were +45 but they are actually +40 so now I'm wondering if I'm going to stick out too much. They are 18x8+40 with 235 wide tires.

Does anyone have shots of how flush the wheels are with that setup? And does it rub if there's a little bit of lowering to the car (say 1 inch)?

The alternative for me is to get the 18x7.5+45 and go with 215 wide tires.

thanks,

I think you're going to rub with 235's. Why not some 225's?

ok, so I'm a girl, bear with me....

I bought 19 x 8 with a 43 offset.

It looks like ideally I would want 235 35 19

I am not lowered at all, yet

I saw an earlier post about this scenario rubbing

Any suggestions?

I'm not lowering much and I'd like to be as accurate with the speedo as I can.

I've gotten the wheels put on and I'm flush in the rear and stick out about 1/8" on the front. With the stock ride height there's no rubbing even with a full load and I'm going to put some H&R OE Sport Springs (F.75", R.5") on it - I expect it to be fine as well even with a full load.

With a 1 inch drop I'd expect rubbing especially with a full load.

Stock ride height = no rubbing under any scenario (see my above reply) but at that size your car might look like it's raised slightly (mine sure does). If you don't have any plans to lower it or don't mind it looking a touch awkward (only car people will notice) then this setup is no problem.

I'm lowering mine a tiny bit to deal with it and avoid doing any more work on it.

I'm looking at some wider 17" wheels instead of my 18's.

It looks like with 17x9's I'd need to run 235/45/17's.

How low of an offset can I go with a 17x9 wheel on 235's, as low as possible without pulling or rolling?

I have a rear camber kit btw.

I'm looking at a set of 17x9 +45's, but would like a slightly lower offset if possible.

low profile tires on stock wheels and suspension will only create a bigger gap between the tires and the fenders making it look like a 4x4.
keep what u have.
upgrade to low profile tires once u change ur wheels and drop it.
