Tire Pressure Monitoring

Might be a dumb question but do you lose the tire pressure monitoring system if you change out the factory wheels??? I am just not sure how it works, is there a sensor in the wheel or somewhere else? Just wondering cuz I'm about to go put my new rims on today.

yes you lose the system.
if you want it to work on your "new" rims, it will cost some money again.

you can get them swapped onto your new wheels, I think they are on the valve stems.

I would also recommend that you do this because the error is annoying and I pay less attention to my MID because of it.

Whatever the sticker in the door jamb says. Something like 32 or 35 front, 30 rear.

Can you add TPMS to a '06 TSX?

I was wondering: can you add the TPMS to a '06 TSX?

If that is the only difference between '06 and '07 / '08, then it may be worth trying....

Thanks,

GF

you can add them physically to your tire valve stems but you wont be able to utilize them on your minute minder system screen in the gauge dash. your ECU is not programmed for it. so it won't appear when you press your info button.
