Tire cuts, nicks, chips

My wife (original owner) has a 2006 TSX with 42k mi and original Michelin tires. Just washed it and noticed the the front tires have nicks and chips all across the tread, RR is fine but LR shows a few nicks. (Tires were rotated front to rear 4k ago). Inflation is maintained at 38 PSI. Is this a shock, strut, both or neither problem? Driving habits are non-agressive, few long trips, 30% freeway, 70% around town. I believe warranty is 50K or 4 yr; I'm ok on miles but over in time. Any thoughts or ideas before I go to the dealer would be appreciated.

38 PSI seems a little high. I run the recommended 32 PSI front and 30 PSI rear. I'm on my 3rd set of tires with no problems (80,000 miles now, OEM Michelin, Bridgestone 960, Conti DWS).

There is a life expectancy or shelf life for tires. Depending on when your TSX was made, you could be +6 years on the original tires. You might just have one tire older than the rest or just a defective tire.

German and North American auto folks recommend replacing tires after 6 years of use:

After 5-6 years on OEM tires, it might be time to invest in new tires.

the tires are warrantied by the tire manufacturer not the dealer. I keep my tires at the recommended tire pressure. The originals last 74,000 miles and It is now has yokohama's with over 50,000 miles.

I expect the tires wear, but not in this fashion. They look like some spent a day hitting them with a chisel. I'm looking for a cause. Thanks
