is there any chance to have the slam look with teinSS?

i had the tein ss on my car for around 2 months now.. i want to lower my car as low as possible without rubbering issues. So yesterday i was adjusting the height and i put anti-seize on the height adjustable part. The front allowed me to do what i wanted to. Its now lowered right on the tires without any gap.. its a perfect drop in my opinion.. and no rubbing yet.. but for the rear i set them to the lowerest as possible but there's still a finger gap..

I didn't install the coilovers myself, some local garage installed it for me..
Is this normal or something is wrong?
do you guys with the tein SS or basic have the same issue??

p.s. i'm running 225/45/17 and ingalls rear camber kit with -1.2 degree.
Hope you guys understand and any comments would be greatly appreciated.

good day.

I don't have the Tein SS, but I can definately vouch for Buddy Club N+ coilovers that the rears can drop WAYYYYYYY below and tuck under. I pretty much had to set them close to the highest they can go to get the 2 finger gap I wanted.

Maybe you should drive around and see how much the rear end will settle?

yes its possible, back when I had Tein SS. But honestly if you're slamming your car, you should get Flex's, the shock stroke is so short when slammed, the ride was way too bouncy for me.

18x7.5 +42 225/40/18, if I recall it would rub in the rear w/ a lot of weight in the trunk, fine otherwise

How low would you suggest the SS is good for? I'm torn between SS and Flex, but I was mostly going to go after Flex for EDFC. (ie: I was planning on saving money and getting the SS)

I've ridden on a TSX with the Flex and EDFC. On the softest setting, it is almost like stock, while being slammed! If you are going racing, then get EDFC. Otherwise just leave it on the softest setting for street use and use the EDFC money on your rims (and good tyres).

Im rollin on 19's with Flexes, and you can slam your car so low, you wont be able to even drive it. I've tried it on my car.. another thing about slamming ur car really low.. ur gonna end up tearing up that plastic lining in your fender.

I wanted the EDFC mainly because my family prefers a stock feel, while I prefer a more firm feel. I would hate to have to adjust my flex's or SS's every sunday heh.

I won't buy tires until I can wear out my OEM's...and that's when I'll buy new rims

I'd say 2" probably? I have a 3" drop w/ my Flexes, I tried it w/ my SS and it was too bouncy, I talked to Tein and they said the shock stroke was just too short. W/ the flex you can adjust the height independent of the spring pre-load/shock stroke, which keeps a good ride when lowering a lot.

Honestly, everyone I've heard that has the EDFC says its a waste. Once you find the setting you like, you probably won't touch it. And IMO Flex isn't THAT stiff, I think your family could deal w/ it

i have a question for you guys who did the installation yourself..
There are 2 gold rings which comes with the Tein SS , right?
Are they suppost to be for the front spring perch or the rear spring perch?
i know its suppost to sit on top of the springs, under the oem top mounts..
the guy who installed the coilover for me put those gold rings at the rear.. maybe thats why my rear sits abit higher than normal ones with tein SS cause this guy with tein SS can definitely go lower than i could at the rear..

Yes they go in the front.

Either way they still installed it wrong. So I would fight for them for it

well its hard for them to prove they didn't screw up... they can't blame anyone else. if they were the ones w/ the instructions you shouldn't be to blame
