Tein vs. RS*R opinions needed
Hey guys,
I am looking for some help; I currently have two sets of springs and shocks for my TSX. Tokico shocks (currently riding on) which I am replacing with Koni Yellows. I also have RS*R down springs which I am currently riding on with the Tokico’s.
Should I keep the RS*R’s or swap them with Tein S-tech’s that I have lying around in my garage. I was wondering.
Here are the spring rates and information for both manufactures.
---------------------
RS*R springs
Lowering 40mm front / 30mm rear
Spring Rate 6.25kg/mm front / 3.25 kg/mm rear
40mm = 1.5" front
30mm = 1.1" rear
---------------------
Tein S-Techs
Spring Rate (lbs/inch) 6.2/347 2.7/151
Ride Height Drop (inch) -1.7 -1.3
Since I am running the Mugen under-spoiler kit I am already pretty happy with my wheel to fender / ground clearance, however I was wondering if anyone would know how to dissect the spring rates and figure out what would be better to run with the Koni’s.
help>?

The differences between the two is small, I think once you swap the shock you are good, it's up to you to swap the shocks or not.
The spring rate on both spring are relatively soft, consider my BuddyClub is 14K/8K.

You might get sharper flatter handling with the RSR and maybe a little softer ride with the Teins. They are so close....its probably not worth spending the money to change if you like the RSR now.
