Tein Basics Coilover questions

Hello guys!

I am really sorry to ask these noob questions but i hope you guys can still help me out!

I am about to install Tein Basics on my 05 TSX but I am unsure how to properly preload the springs and adjust the height. Basically, I want to drop it to the lowest settings. Can someone assist me with this issue?

Also, I am aware that i need to reuse the top mounts from my oem suspension but the thing is that I do not have a spring compressor. Can someone explain to me how to disassemble the parts safely without a spring compressor?

One more thing, do i need to use a spring compressor to put the top mounts onto the Tein Basics? If so, is there a way to do it without a spring compressor?

Thank you so much for your time and any help is appreciated!

It sounds like you're just replacing the springs right? I don't think you can do it without a spring compressor. You may be able to rent one from one of the auto parts places in your area. But.... from the tone and content of your thread..... I wonder if you wouldn't be better off farming this job out and having it done somewhere.

Spring compressor is a must for taking off and putting on top mounts. Adjusting height is as easy as counting the threads from bottom to top; bottom being the lowest settings. Spring preload is not seperate from the height adjustment. So the lower you go, spring preload will be compromised.
