Tein Basic too stiff?

Okay I'm 90% about to buy the Tein Basics from Mr.HealToe but I have one last concern. After reading several threads I'm worried that since they are not adjustable in dampening that they would be too stiff. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest and 5 the stock setting, how would you rate the Tein Basics?

I got confused by the Tein website that lists the spring rates for the basic at

780lb/in in the front and 450lb/in in the rear
Tein Basics

while on the forum I found that stock is:

"The Mugen catalog listed the CL9 as having 5kg/mm springs up front and 3.1kg/mm in the rear. That's the equivalent to 280lb/in and 173.6lb/in respectively.
So it looks like your guess was pretty close. " (from Dan Martin)

780 vs 280 seems really extreme.

any help is welcome

I think you got the number confused. Those numbers are for the Tein Flex.
The basic and SS spring ratings are 559- front and 336- rear

http://www.tein.com/badamp.html just scroll down to the model and price list. ive been researching these as well. =D

If you want something that isnt as stiff I might suggest the Mugen Non adjustable. Ive talked to the guys at Kingmotorsports, and they really like it. Spring rating is pretty close to stock, but the drop is only 1.4inches front and back.
Note that on kingmotorsports the Mugen is listed only as 25mm drop, but the actually drop is 35mm. Good luck!

Interesting. Since when did TEIN change the spring rates on the FLEX? I don't know what is correct. The FLEX I have has 10k front, 6k rear (that's 559 lbs/in and 335 lbs/in). The Japanese TEIN website also listed as 10k/6k, but the US TEIN website is now listed as 14k/8k. So did TEIN USA change the spring rates on the FLEX?
