Yes it's very possible. Shocks generally last 70-100k miles depending on the driver and driving conditions.

Look into TOKICO HP's for a slight upgrade or the KONI Yellows (Sport) shocks if you want the ultimate shock. Check out our website for pricing and PM us if you have any questions.

Those Tokico's are a completely terrible choice to run with OEM springs...

My shocks were gone by 130,000km. I saved $1,000 by ordering A-spec complete struts from the US (Curry Acura), but I should have also bought the 4 endlinks from them.

My Toronto Acura dealer would install Acura parts for me, but I did the install myself, with help from acuarzine, and youtube.

I didn't have a vibration, though, I had weight transfer, massive understeer, no grip for starting, and ABS kicking in under moderate braking, and "floating around" on the highway. Vibration...did you throw a tire weight?

Koni Sport Shocks are the shocks of choice.

Local North Toronto speedshop quoted me about $1,300 tax-in for Koni Yellow, plus $400 for installation, a year ago. US/Cdn numbers are so different, you should give people an idea of what you paid, and from where.

I replaced my OEM set-up with the A-spec suspension 4 years ago (60,000 miles ago, 80,000 now).

I like the A-spec because:
- it was a direct fit,
- it was covered by the Acura standard/extended warranties,
- rides just like stock when cruising,
- provided about a 1 inch drop all around,
- improved handling, less dive/squat, more level on the hard curves (also added Progress RSB)
- and I can still drive over bumps pull up to curbs without hitting the front bumper (A-spec body kit also)

Only $650+tax (price includes shipping) at Curry Acura:

You can get them on eBay for about $650 or so. $400 for installation sounds about right though.
