Stock Suspension, Negative Chambers

I have a 2005 TSX with a stock suspension, but the back tires have reasonably noticeable negative chambers. How does this happen? How do I fix it? I brought the car to a place and they said the only way to fix it is by getting adjustable chambers. But I've read in some places that you could just fix it by getting an alignment. PLEASE HELP!

have an 05 myself... negative camber is not necessarily bad as long as it's within factory spec no more than -1.5 & anything beyond that will require a camber kit. if you have noticable inner tire wear this is likely the problem. you will need to buy a kit before an alignment. other issues contributing could be worn suspension components like your shocks. a reputable shop should be able to help determine the problem. hope this is helpful...

A couple of comments on what was posted here. True, the OE camber spec is -.5 to -1.5 (ideally -1), and.... right, it's not adjustable from the factory. It seems that many of the 04 and 05 models left the factory with less than ideal camber specs (there was a recall on a right side trailing arm which caused excessive camber on the 04 and a few 05 models). All that said, excessive camber in itself is not a big deal. It's actually out of spec toe that causes excessive tire wear (that's the consensus anyway), and some rudimentary adjustment of this is provided for with the OE suspension. There are a few rear camber kits available to provide camber adjustment (and toe).

To the OP, if your suspension is stock and you really do have camber issues, then perhaps there's something else going on. But even if it's a little excessive, it's not a problem unless it's how the rear wheels look that's really bugging you. You'll get all kinds of suggestions on where to go for an alignment, but since it seems that this the first time (for you) I'd take it to a Honda or Acura dealer and let them look at it.

Ingalls is a quality part. The local Acura dealership had no problem installing it and doing an alignment, and it's held up though several years and multiple alignments since!

+1 on Ingalls. I ran their rear camber kit on my RSX-s for a little under 5 years with no issues.
