A-Spec vs Prosystem

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to decide on a suspension system for my '04 TSX. Which one should I go with - the A-spec or the Eibach Prosystem? I saw the pics of the A-spec on the temple of vtec and the car looks pretty good.
What are the pros and cons of these 2? It would be for next spring as I store my car during the winter months.

Thanks everyone.

Hey Welcome to the site man!

The release of the Eibach prosystem keeps on getting pushed back, so no one has it yet. As for aspec it rides great, but will only drop the car 1". The TSX has a big wheel gap stock, so most people have went with other suspensions because they were looking for bigger drops. If ride quality is your #1 priority Aspec and/or Tanabe are what you're looking for.

Wow the Eibach Prosystem is still delayed? I saw it up on Eibach's website. That's disappointing to hear. Did they give a new ETA?

I had the eibach prosystem on order since march through tire rack. As of october it was delayed over 4 times. So I cancelled my order and bought the Koni/Nuespeed struts and Comptech springs off Ebay. Im very happy with the setup and adjustability. Just need to fine tune the settings. I avoided the A-Spec because most people complained the drop wasnt noticible. Even in pics posted here it wasnt significant enough, so I went with this setup. Im glad I didnt spend the money on the A-Spec first like I planned.

The thing about the A-spec that draws me to it is that it's covered under warranty from Acura, and the ride quality isn't compromised too much. I'm also a little worried about slopes after seeing one of the other threads on here:

How do you manage with sloped surfaces and all? If a driveway is hard to get up onto I can only imagine issues with highway onramps? Hmm...

Driveways can have a much more abrubt change in the slope than an onramp. On my previous car, it was not lowered, and I'd scrape on the occasional steep driveway or speedbump (with my aftermarket exhaust that hung a bit lower than stock). Most of the time it was fine, but I was reluctant to lower it, just in case. For use of the car in the real world, many of us will not lower all that much. :-) Of course, you could get a coilover system (or to some extent, the Koni shocks), and fine-tune the height to whatever you want. I think the TSX has some additional height over that car, so I can probably lower it 1" without too much worry. :-)

I saw in a post somewhere else that if you already bought your car, the warantee on the a-spec wasn't as great. I probably would have worked it into the original price of the car except that I was tired of negotiating, and I can order from the internet and get a better price with no negotiating. :-)
