Spare tire rim for '05 TSX. Please help!

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and my car knowledge is very limited, so please bear with me. I have a question that hopefully some of the members here can help me with.

I am asking if anyone can recommend where I can buy a new spare tire & rim for a '05 TSX, preferably from an online retailer if possible. Of if someone has an OEM spare tire to sell? My current spare tire was gashed and the rim suffered quite some damage and is no longer usable.

If anyone can help me out at all, I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance.

You can buy from Acura of Boston (Bernardi) online:

http://acura.bernardiparts.com

The part numbers are as follows:
Spare Wheel 42700-SZ3-N02 $100.71
Spare Tire 42751-BRI-095 $166.25 (verify price on hondatires.com or acuratires.com)

Although, your best bet is to source one locally at a junk yard.

OP, are you looking for the actual spare tire that's in the trunk, or are you looking for another OEM 17" wheel?

Hi guys, sorry for the delay. Thanks, huludicidal, for your help. I guess I can check the junkyard. However, do you know of any online retailers in the Philly area?

@renedcruz: I'm sorry for not being clear in my OP. I actually do need both a new spare tire for the trunk and a new OEM 17" wheel, but I was hoping to just address one at a time, but I guess I accidentally mentioned both.

In that case, I might as well ask about my regular wheel. My left front has had a slow leak for several weeks and I can't seem to find the source of the leak. After taking the tire off and soaping it, I couldn't find any apparent holes or damages. My father told me that it might be the rim that's the issue and that I might have to get a new wheel. What are your opinions on this? Am I going to have to get a new wheel after all, if in fact the tire isn't damaged?

Also, is tirerack.com a reliable source? Any help would be appreciated, and I thank those who have already replied.

Yeah, I would say to look locally for the spare tire/rim. IIRC it could be from any car with the bolt pattern 5x114.3.

As for the leak, did you check with a good amount of air in the tire? Check around the valve stem area if you haven't done so. I have not personally use tirerack, but heard from other people that they are legit.

You can check the Black Market here on Acurazine for anyone selling spare wheels.
https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/

Also check local dealers, but they will probably be pricey.

Tirerack is a reputable seller (many of us have purchased from them), but I doubt they have OEM wheels for sale. I think they just do aftermarket. You may want to try Heeltoe or one of the other site-sponsored vendors.

So, I've found the spare wheel & tire at acuraoemparts.com. Should these fit my '05 TSX (are these the right measurements)?

DISK, WHEEL (16X4T)
TIRE (T135/80D16) LD/SP 101M)

Total cost + S&H = $236.33

That IMO is too much for a spare.

Hey guys, I finally got my spare. Ordered it from car-parts.com, came with the wheel too which was unexpected (I told I was just purchasing the rim), but greatly appreciated. Came out to a little over $100. 75 for the rim and tire, plus s&h.

I want to thank everyone here who helped me out, especially Dallison for recommending me the site. : D
