S2000 rims for winter?

A friend has offered to sell his S2000 rims to me for cheap, to use as winters. Issue is that they're a staggered setup...

The fronts I'm confident will be no problem, as they're 16x7, +55 offset, 5x114.3 (quoting from memory here!)

The rears, however, are a half inch wider, and have 10mm more offset.
16x7.5, +65mm.

I intend to mount winters in 215/55/16. I've had tire people tell me that there shouldn't be much of an issue with the wider rim and same size tire, but I'm wondering if the offset will be too much?

I'll mount them to make sure they clear the brakes of course.

Any help appreciated.

It won't look as good as the 17"s but a lot of people put 16"s on for the winter. It's usually a good idea to "step down" for winter tires anyway. Of course, 16" alloys will look much better than steelies. Don't forget that the Euro Accord has 16"s as the standard wheel/tire size.

I vaguely remember that the S2000 rims also have different center bore between front/back.

being a former a former s2000 owner...these rims will not fit safely. you have the issues of a staggered fitment. i WOULD not do it.

the rears won't fit but if you need another set of fronts, i've got a full set of ap1 16 wheels off my s2k that my wife wrecked (had my aftermarket stuff on when she wrecked it) the tires are still real good. I need them gone asap and for super cheap. pm me
