run flat tires
Anbody running in a 07 or newer TSX running on RFTs? I read an ad in Wired magazine for Bridgestone tires that the Run Flats require vehicles with tire pressure guages/monitors as you can't feel the difference if you had a flat tire and it can be dangerous if you go over 50mph. The tires were only designed to allow you to get to a tire store.
I'm just curious as to how those tires are...

I have run flats on my Corvette, and I don't think I will replace them with run flats. The tires are heavy, they ride like $**t and don't perform all that well. Oh ya, they don't last as long either.
You have a spare, so, I would not buy them, but its your car and money.

Unfortunately; I can't find any tires in a 215/50/17 configuration. I'm considering a 08 TSX myself.
I currently have a 06 TL and I have the Pirelli PZERO Nero RFTs on now and the ride is just fine.
Hopefully they will make 215/50/17 tires in runflats.
I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

They were OE on my BMW Z4 and count me as one who has no use for them (I replaced them with conventional tires and carried a donut spare and a jack). Aside from the rough ride, I found a big drawback is the extremely limted choice of tires. There are only one or two runflats available in any given size (and big money too).
