Rear sway bar

I looked on ebay and found a comptech rear sway bar for $105 + $10 shipping. Does anyone know of a better deal? Thanks!

You may want to give folks a day or two to post. Who knows, there may be a better deal out there (I personally doubt it). It's only been about an hour since you asked the question.

$115 is about the best you can find for the RSB, though "the best" is pretty standard actually as a priceline for that part. I got mine used off the Black Market for $100 shipped. Worth every penny.

only thing agaisnt the comptech bar is it will only work if with the comptech exhaust. so if you plan on upgrading to any exhaust other than comptech then you will have to get the progress rear sway bar.

Progress sway bar

Comes with poly U bushings (so you don't have to buy a set) and adjustable and compatible with all aftermarket exhuasts.

I'm definately in.

btw, it's either $15 off, OR 10% off. The $15 off is the better deal (unles you buy an item with a price above $150, then the 10% coupon is better!).

Do a search bro, trying to save you some money.

Comptech ia about $105 + (how much are the bushings?) you'll have to buy poly urethane bushings because they come with rubber one and they tend to break down fast.

Progress $120 +15% off already comes with poly urethane bushings, no need to go out to energy suspension to buy a set. Plus it's adjustable and compatible with exhuasts.

Progress versus Comptech: Is one better than the other performance-wise?

I am bone stock at the moment but would like to eventually enhance the handling of the car without sacrificing much of the ride quality. Having crossed the 30 year threshold, I also don't wish to add body kits and whatnots, but new wheels and tires that may add some enhanced handling in addition to looking fabulous would be keen -- looking to go for the understated, mature upgrades. What would you kind folks recommend? Teins and Volks? I've been so out of touch of the tuner/after-market for so long. Thank you.

You need some bling bling spinners!

hehehe

The progress bar and the comptech bar are both 22mm in size. Maybe some people who had both at one point could chime in on theperformce difference but I would guess there is none.

I'm in the same boat as you. OEM kit is not that wild. I personally would be happy with a full OEM kit, OEM spoiler, A-SPEC suspension and A-SPEC wheels and i'll be done for the exterior. Nice and clean. (J-DM Headlights if $$$ permits)

Interior, just some fun stuff like converting my NAVI to play DVD's and maybe a back-up camera, speakers and a box.

Engine wise, stock cept maybe a grounding kit to smooth out the power.

That's about it for me.

I had no idea about the bushings, I just looked into energy suspension's site about them. Since i was impatient and got the comptech, i guess i'll go ahead and buy the poly-u bushings. Do i just buy the universal 22mm ones? I'm not sure, heres the link, tell me if these is the correct ones.

Ditto that. I recently checked mine and they are a little frayed at the ends but still look pretty good. If/when I need to replace them then I'll go for the polys.

Well not a grad yet... Transferred to AU from JWU in providence, this place is heaven compared to JWU!!!

I was gonna buy the poly-u bushings but decided not to. I was worried that winter with all the salt and chemicals on the road would kill the rubber. But i won't be here all winter, my baby will be garaged so that won't be a problem until i come back.

Thanks for the AU compliment!

Cusco is supposed to be making one I believe but it is still not out yet. The only JDM company that makes a rear sway is whiteline and after conversion of the price on there site it came to like 280 that doesnt include shipping for such a large box and everything so you are looking at over 300 for a whiteline sway. I may just get a progress one and not tell anyone I have it.
