To ppl with aftermarket wheels

Do you align your car with the aftermarket wheels on, if you do they leave any nicks or stuff like that at all???
I've been asking around to have my car align after I put on my summer wheel & tire. Seems like no one wants to do it because of "sidewall is too thin and we're afraid that we're gonna ruin your wheels". In the end I went to one of the dealer that I was recommended by a local shop because they have some kind of laser measuring device. I've managed to get my car aligned BUT with two nicks on the lip on my rims.

My questiong is where can I find a place that will align my car with 18s?

I'm talking about aligning the car not balancing the wheels.
I'm not sure if you didn't understand my question or the local tire place around my area sucks.

I think the place you go to probably uses some old school equipment. Most places I've seen don't attach anything to the wheels.
I'd say look around for another alignment shop.

That's mighty nice of you Dzuy.

In all seriousness though, you have to find one of those drive on racks (think that's what you'd call it). Could be hard to find one if your car is lowered too much. I went to two shops with no luck, till arriving at a third that could finally get my car on.

my local shop Firestone alignment shop didnt give me any hassle or anything. My car is dropped on Eibach Prokit with 18" 225/40/18 and they went up on the alignment rack without scratching. 18"s are very common nowadays, so u shouldnt have any problem getting it aligned or anything with the tires.
