hey, just found these rims on www.wheelsnext.com.
R1 RACING GTR-4 Black Gloss 19"
with TOYO PROXES FZ4 (ALL-SEASON) Rear Size: 225/35/19
I found the entire package for $1496, taxes and shipping included. i think thats a great deal. i wasnt gunna get 19"s but for under $1500 i cant really go wrong. my car is gunna look a little raised cuz its not lowerd but im gunna do that as well, but i dont wanna rub. anything i should watch out for?

i already kno im gunna lose some ride but, i dont want it to ride like shit. i was talking to one of the members on this site. JayRoam and he has 19's and he says it rides fine. it's obviously a little different but its not a bad ride.

I am in the process for shopping some rims also, since ride comfort and overall performance are really important to me, I would not even start to think about 20’s, especially in a city COVERED with potholes like Toronto is, good luck with the 20’s and watch out for those potholes.

ye i agree with u guys but. i live in an area just outside toronto where the roads r pretty good and wen ever i have 2 go to the city i take a cab or subway...and another thing if i get 18's i gotta lower my car and that will cost be more than 20's will and i will lose ride as well. so its kind of what is the better of two evils.

If potholes isnt a concern, then ride quality should be. Shop around and look for a set of used coilovers, like I did. I got a good deal. I told myself I wasnt going to drop it for a while, but a good deal came along and I couldnt pass it up. 18s and a drop will be much better than 20s on stock suspension.
I say do it right, dont just settle for 20s since you dont want to lower your car..

Going from the stockies to 19s or 20s (particularly in the wheels you've referenced), you're going to add much more unsprung weight distributed further away from the center of your wheel. Aside from making the car feel slower (I won't put emphasis on this because you don't seem to be interested in the performance aspect of the wheels), more stress will be placed on your stock suspension which means your ride quality will degrade, and you'll shorten the life of your OEM shocks. Your stock suspension will have to work that much harder to dampen all the rebound from the road.
Just fyi, JayRoam (who you've mentioned) may ride on 19s, but he's also on an aftermarket suspension. If you're just concerned about looks (as it appears that you are), I'd personally start with a new suspension... whether it's coilovers or a shocks AND springs combo. To be honest, if you really care about your ride too, I'd start there as well.

Get a new suspension setup and then go shopping for wheels. Your car will look like Grade A garbage with 19s on the stock suspension. Take your time and mod it right. This isn’t a civic where there are a lot of cheap alternatives. Parts are expensive and you can’t rush modding (unless you have loads of money to dump).

Obviously, cost is a big factor in your decision making... otherwise, you wouldn't be trying to figure out these various combinations. Save up your money, and do it right. Again, it's your whip; it's your perogative to do whatever you want with it... but if you ask for some feedback, then expect some feedback from members. If you don't want to listen to any of the advice, then you do it at your own risk...
But hey... you can report back to us after you've picked up your new shoes, driven on them for awhile, and say "See... I told you so."
But I don't think you will...
Either way - good luck! My

$1500 or less for 19"+ Rims/Tires BNIB = CHEAP.
Cheap as in value, and the quality. As your name "tdottsx"; I'm assuming you are in Toronto. Tires aren't as cheap in here compare to the States; even those cheap Toyo Proxes FZ4 (don't confused w/ Toyo Proxes 4; FZ4 is the budget AS tire), it's not cheap in Toronto for 19" or 20" either. So, $600 - 700 for a set of 19"+ rims, I doubt there's any quality in it.
1. 19"+ rims are quite big to TSX, but to each of its own, pick a "QUALITY" rims please.
2. 19" w/out drop will looks 4X4, don't argue w/ any of us. The shop might not tell you the truth because they want to get your business. If you bought those 19", put on your car, dislike it cause it looks like 4X4, do you think they will treat you as nice and give you a refund? No.
** Bigger rims/tires will not "lower" your ride or "tuck in" whatever, because their overall diameter is the same as 16"; 17" or 18". It just that the tires offset is lower to give room for bigger rims.
3. So are these are delicate summer rims? If so forget about those AS tires, sucks. But if you get those AS tires and use it on the winter. Well, good luck.
** Should only use stock or smaller size rims for winter for ultimate snow performance.
4. Given our city is known to have pothole anywhere, it does create a higher chance for you to bent the rims. However, drive carefully MIGHT help.

For 18" plus, you have to really slam the ride to at least 1-2fingers gap to reduce the 4x4 look.
Judging that you are only 19. This car is not a ghetto rice mobile. Its not the bigger the better. Go with 18's since toronto streets are one of the worst in north america in terms of potholes and bad roads.

there was this tsx with chrome 20s on my dealer's showroom when I went to go buy my tsx. I almost went for another vehicle because it made the car look so bad. To each on their own I guess but I would personally go for 18s than going for the suv look. Plus you are probably paying at least $50+ per tires for 20s.

mmmmmm....
it's funny how you guys convinced this guy.
Unless you are doing this for some show purpose, then go for it. I seen few, few tsx w/ 20" that looked good. If this is going to be your daily ride then don't waste your time looking at 20".
Good luck,
