New wheels Moda R6 18x8

I picked up a set of wheels locally as I decided I didn't really like the BBS RX on my car. They are Moda R6 18x8 +45 w/ 225/40/18 ( ) on them. The wheels are in excellent shape and the tires are decent. I really like these wheels on a JDM Accord I saw (its rebadged JDM to USDM ) so I decided to pick them up and give it a try. I really like the 5 spokes on my previous TL wheels, so it was good that this is the same style.

TL wheels 17x8

Moda R6 18x8 +45

Because the tires are smaller I decided to lower my car 2/16" all the way around. The rear seems a bit too low, so I'm either going to raise it or lower the front. There's nearly a full finger room in the front and its not rubbing, so I will probably drop it another 2/16" I found out these wheels originally belonged to an old member coujac, who sold his TSX for a TL, and his wheels to someone else, who passed them on to me.

My wife also got some new wheels for her MCS, she already had aftermarket ones, but didn't really like them

ASA AR1 17x7 (ignore the missing arch)

new wheels, SSR GT2 18x7.5!!

The thing needs rubberband tires 215/35/18 (!!) to run 18's, but it looks cool. Now just a little lowering and it'll be perfect.

Love the look of the Moda's!! Shit they look amazing on your car. Although there is no way you had a finger gap... you must have mistyped

Don't love the SSR's though, I think the ASA's looked better.

The Moda looks nice on the car. PWP looks good with just about any wheels. Damn, the car is low!

So it was you that bought those...

I like the look. As for the new wheels for the Mini, I think the color is a little too bright. The rest of the car is in a relatively dark theme so you should see if the wife wants to get them powder coated in something darker...

The modas look awesome on the car man. I think you should get the SSR's on the mini powder coated gunmetal while keeping a polished lip.

my wife likes that about the wheels, the ASA's were too dark. the car looked mean, but you'd never believe a girl drove it. the SSRs lighten it up, so she's happy

Damn, it looks awesome! I always like Moda R6 wheel, they looked great on TSX. I just wonder if it will looks good on CG or not. But his girlfriend's car with that new wheel looks nice too. It gave me a little idea of dark color and silver wheels.

Looks good man

So do you notice a difference in performance and/or ride quality in the 225 vs. 235 series?

meh, didn't notice much, just a little more tram-lining, and steering is a bit lighter w/ the less contact patch, otherwise, not much difference.

I'll measure it next time I'm next to a stock TSX, but its unlikely you can be that low w/o scraping

I compared my height to a new stock 2006 today

Front 3 5/16" and the rear 3 1/16" drop. The rears are fully threaded down in the full length adjustment on my Tein Flex, to lower any more would change the spring preload. The front can be lowered 3/16" more, but, the drop starts looking slanted so that the front is lower than the back which looks ugly
