New Tires / Different Ratings?

Hi All,

I just had all four of my tires replaced with Falken 912s.
I noticed that the rating on this tire is different form the OEMs (91v vs 93v). Have any of you had experience with this tire? What differences would there be with the lower rating?

Thanks!

As long as they are both V rated for speed I think you wil be fine.

I had a set of these on an Audi S4 a number of years ago (those were rated 92W I think). It's a good all season tire and was actually top rated in Consumer Reports test of performance All Season tires 7 or 8 years ago (in other words, it's an older design). Kind of noisy if I remember correctly, but capable in the rain and in the snow (though as with any tire on the Audi, the snow performance was a little harder to judge because of the all wheel drive). And actually, the weight rating (the 91 versus 93) is probably more important than the speed rating, but I'm sure you're still fine with the 91.
