New tires for 2004 Acura TSX

Hi,

I am looking to replace the tires on my 2004 acura tsx. I live in LA. Looking for tires that will last a long time but don't want to pay crazy prices.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thxs

Assumiin you are running 215/50R17, the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus at $140 is a great tire at $140 each, the Conti Pure Contact is also very good at $128 each. 80,000 mile warranty on the Bridgestone and 70,000 on the Conti

Thxs for the info. Would you still recommend these 2 tires even if I am doing pretty much no driving in any snow? Or should I be looking at something else?

Check Tirerack.com, they have a number of tires with good-great reviews for under $100 a piece. You didn't state your performance preference, but they offer (for instance) the Fusion Touring, which is V rated, for $74 each (plus shipping), with very good survey reviews. You won't find tires much cheaper than that. Don't fall into the trap of feeling like you have to spend big money for tires; there are plenty out there for a reasonable cost.

I am also looking for new tires for my 04 TSX. I noticed on Tirerack that Michelin has a new ultra high performance Pilot tire. However, there are no reviews of it yet. I was leaning towards that Primacy MXM's, or the MXV's, which I currently have on the car. The Bridgestone Turanzas also have good reviews, but I probably will stick with Michelins. I may also go back to the OEM wheels. I got a good deal on new wheels and tires that were removed from a new 06 TSX, and have been using those wheels ever since. I still have the original wheels in the garage, and will probably switch back when I get the new tires, since I like the look of the 04 wheels better.

The Pilot Sport AS3 is brand new we haven't even had a chance to test it yet (should be very soon). The word is though that it has fantastic dry grip and steering response. I wouldn't look for it to be a world beater in winter traction though, but the jury is still out so we will see.

I'm enjoying my Nitto Motivo's. They are an all-season but grip well on dry and wet, and are quiet, while being in the more affordable $125 area.
They have a high tread wear and a 60k mile warranty. They won't perform like a summer ultra performance tire but they are an enjoyable ride and should last a while.

I live in Southern California, and will not ever be driving in true winter conditions. So the Pilot AS3 should not be a problem, correct?

Shouldn't make a difference then unless you vacation in Tahoe :-)
