New Shoes...

Just got some new shoes.

Advan RS
Gold
18x8
45mm offset

Just gotta get some new suspensions and tires before it goes on my 06' PWP 6MT, Navi, OEM Bodykit. Let me know what you guys recommend on the size for tires. I was looking in to getting some Falken FK452 in either 225/40/18s or 235/40/18s not sure if 235s will work with this offset. Anyone knows from experiences. BTW here are some pics of the wheels.

Looks Great! I'll help you out with the images. You'll want to enclose the image location with the following tags: - Where XXXX is the location.

What suspension did you get/How low do you plan to go? I think you should be okay with either 225 or 235's. The 235's will be closest to overall tire diameter compared to stock. However, if it matters, pricing and availability for the 225's may be more favorable.

Thanks Etarui. I admire your car as its the exactly what I want to do with mines. As for the suspension, I havent bought it yet. Saving to buy the suspension and tires at one time. BTW where did u purchase your Flex from? Let me know how much it was so I can get them. hehehe. Well if the 235 fits Im kind of leaning towards them, if not Ill be getting some Falken FK452 in 225/40/18s.

Huh, these look really similar to the Advan Kreuzer X's. Anyone shed some light on this? How much do these weigh by the way?

Edit: Never mind, I see the difference now. I like the shape of the spokes better on the RS but like how the spokes go all the way to the edge on the Kreuzer X's. Darnit. Why can't the Mugen NR's just be lighter.

Very nice choice in rims

If possible, try to go with a 235 tire rather than a 225 tire. Most times a 225 tire looks too stretched for a 8" wide rim - almost as if the rim was just slightly too wide for the tire itself. Unless you decide to lower the car super low, then 225's may be better so that there's less chance of rubbing since you also only have a +45 offset.

Just my

BTW, i'm running 19x8's +49 with 235/35 dropped on Tein SS's with no rubbing at all.

The RS is about 16-18 lbs per rim. Also thanks everyone for their inputs. I want to drop it pretty low but not to the point where I will scrap, so maybe Ill get the 235s instead.

Nice! The RS are very popular here in Singapore...especially in dark gun metal....
Personally, i cant get used to the open centre cap look....but if u r like me u r in luck! Advan just released lovely looking 'ADVAN RACING' centre caps for their racing wheels - RS, RGII etc. Check it out in their website.

Looking forward to seeing them on the car...

No, dont. Get it lowered first.

Very nice rims. They should look sick on the PWP.

If you have the cash, go with the Tein Flex's

Thanks, everyone for the comments. I am trying to save up to get the Tein Flex or the Tanabe SO-C and a set of Falken FK452 before everything goes on. Hopefully I can get them within a month or so. I really cant wait to put them on.

Get them on pronto and quit worrying about the suspension - that'll be sorted once funds permit and the 4x4 look/jokes will be forgotten soon after it's installed.
