Need Opinons on tire/wheel package on CGP 06 TSX Man, Navi
I have G Games Sidewinder wheels on order with following specs: 18x7.5 +48 offset. Also on order are Michelin PS2 performance tires with following spec: 225-45/18.
Reasoning for this order: I like the look of the high gloss silver color and spoke design of the G Games Sidewinder and it is a quality wheels not to mention I'm getting an awesome price on the wheel ($235 per 18 inch wheel). The 18 inch wheel upgrade also has enough backspacing for a BBK. PS2 tires are the best for summer performance and most importantly offer the lowest amount of road noise among summer tires. The 45 series aspect ratio offers little of no flex yet still doesn't put as much pressure on the wheels. Also the 225-45/18 will fill the wheel gap wheel considering I have the A-SPEC suspension installed.
What I want is a quality 10 spoke true Japanese looking wheel that compliments the sportiness and lines of my new TSX. Also I want a wheel/tire size package that allows for BBK clearance, and fills out the wheel well, and is not too far off from stock specs (e.g. diameter, revs/mile, etc.).

Two questions:
1. Should I stick my the GGames wheel given the price, look, etc.?
2. What size tires would work best without a lot of road noise?

Wheel Question
My contact at Acura is getting them for me. If you're interested, why don't you wait and see what they look like on my car before your purchase. I'm sure I can probably get you a similar deal depending on where the wheels need to be shipped.
And you're right about the 235 size tire. It is closer to factory spec, but that tire size in Michelin PS2 is not recommended for anything smaller than an 8 inch wide rim. GGames Sidewinder only comes in a 7.5 or 8.5 inch rim. The 8.5 is probably too wide.

Definitely post pictures once you get your wheels installed. I'm also getting the A-spec suspension for my SSM '04 6MT, and am debating between getting the 17" a-spec wheels or the 18" sidewinders. I'll hold off on my purchase until after seeing your car. I'm sure it'll look great though!

My wheels should be here by end of month. Check back on the site for pics. One suggestion: why spend money to get another set of 18 inch wheels that can't accomodate a BBK or offer better performance through improved weight and steering. However, if you really like the A-spec, look into the RSX A-spec wheels since they have a darker color and are 7.5 wide rim. You can then at least put 235-45/17 performance tire on it.

if you are getting an 18 inch wheel you do not want a 45 sidewall you want a 40
