Modest drop springs?

Hello, I'm looking for a modest drop to my TSX. I dont want it too low as I drive to work everyday back and forth and have had really low cars before. They bounce on bumps, etc... I just want something that brings it down an inch or 2. I just saw the neuspeed springs thread and those look pretty good. I was also considering eibach pro kits. Any suggestions?

I'm dropped on Tein H-Techs which is about 1.1" (front) and 0.7" (rear). I love it, though I'm running stock shocks and planning on going with tokico blues this spring.

Here are some pics of my car with aspecs and silverstars

your car with the A specs is the EXACT look I want. I have A spec wheels right now but eventually I want to get rid of them and get those IF the car doesnt sell in the mean time.

Hey SHYUperman, are the a-specs the 18x8.5?

Here is the eibach Pro kit on my car. I like it because it's nice and sporty yet subtle at the same time.

I'm in a similar situation right now. i really like the look of the stock 17's, but they're stock, and they aren't wide enough for my tastes.

if only someone made it in that style, but in 18x8 size, and lighter, i'd be so happy.

prokit is the more subtle one.

for small drops I think there are only really 3 options:
  • A-Spec
  • Tein H-Tech
  • Eibach prokit

I really like Eibach. I've been using their springs for over the past 8 years, and to this day, I had barely added Swift to my list of "acceptable" springs. The amount of engineering that Eibach does for their Pro-Kit line is insane. Its just just "lets just stick the car at this ride height" and done. Everything from roll centers, to steering angles, weight distribution, COG, factory damper rates, and spring rates are all things that are factored in when they develop the Pro-Kit.

I'm sorry, Tein owners, but I do have to say this (and this is coming from experience). Tein springs are not good. I don't know what exactly is wrong with them, possibly either the diameter of steel or type of steel they use, but it is a worthless spring. On a few track cars I've done using Teins, I've probably gone through about 4 or 5 sets of their springs for their coilovers before giving up and just going with Eibachs in one season. What ended up happening was the springs were fatiguing. I usually had on average a reduction of 30-33% in spring rate and about 10-15mm drop in static ride height. I'm sorry, I just need to get the word out.

did you use it for track or street?

i'm seriously considering the eibach prokit springs and would like to know how they are on the street, potholes and all...

Most of the cars that I've used Pro-Kits on are street cars. Some of them do see some auto-x and track time and they've held up just fine. A little on the soft side to be competitive, but with a nice set of dampers like Koni or Bilstein, on the street, its hard to beat how well balanced they are.

On a lot of the Tein coilovers I've put on my customer's cars, when I tell them my findings, they usually want to switch immediately to either Eibach ERS or Swift Springs, and that's what I usually end up recommending to do anyways.

Just wanted to tell everyone, this "girl" or guy is a scammer on Acurazine. He stole wheels through LI and was using this thread to past the BM rules on post. He stole over 3 set of wheels and tried to sell them on Acurazine until he got caught because he stole A SPEC wheels from a member here on Acurazine, check BM thread. Lowlife...

So im new to new lowering cars. The dealer told me i need coilovers to drop my car true or false? If false i can just order a set of tien S from heel toe or some where else then have like midis install them on the stock shocks and i'll be good?
