tirerack is on crack. your offset is important, but you can ask everyone that has 18x7.5 with 225/40/18 (like myself) with no problems.

why are you getting a 18x7 anyways? get 7.5 or 8"

Tirerack is definitely on something. 7" will rub??? Did you tell him you were putting the wheels on a TSX and not a Civic? hahaha I think a lot of these tire places are smoking crack, though.

I called Discount Tire to get information on wheel sizes for the TSX and the guy gave me the exact information that DiscountTireGuy gave in a previous thread. So I think they have wheel information on different cars stored in a computer. (I wonder if they test different sizes of wheels and tires on cars to get these numbers.) So just to see if he knew what he was talking about, I asked him about sizes for my Prelude and he told me max width is 8" and offset of +40 to +45. That's when I knew they were full of it...

Bottom line is, can we trust these guys or do they just want our money? No offense to anyone that works at these places...

I think in general they guess because they don't have access to every car.
