Do you check it every time you check your regular tires, or less often?
Also, how do you check it? According to the specs printed on the spare, it's supposed to be inflated to 60 psi, but my tire pressure gauge doesn't go up that high.

To check the spare you must remove it for easier access to the valve stem (It's pointed down), and if you don't have a tire gauge of the proper range, get one. They're cheap, and an essential tool for any car.

FYI, I've noticed only 1-2lbs loss in a year, but still and essential check. My sis-in-law had a flat and luckily I had a portable air tank... let's just say her spare needed about 40 psi of air. Unless you have AAA, check the spare at least once ever 6 months.

I've had my car for over a year, and I haven't checked it yet either. Though I did take it out and look at it the other day. The pressure felt fine to the touch - though I realize that's not a very conclusive test.

There's a spare tire? I don't think I've even looked at it since the walk thru when I bought the car. I'll check it this week though, thanks for the reminder.
