Got my TEIN SS installed!

OMFG this thing rocks! I couldn't stop grinning on my way back from the garage.
The setup is very good. Not harsh, bumpy, or anything i've expected. I felt like it rides even better than the stock setup! Corners good, it kept the car flat at all times. I just have to play around with the settings a little bit cause the car seems nervous on an undulated road at high speed.
One thing that I might regret about the TEIN SS is that maybe I should've spent a little bit more and go for the FLEX with EDFC setup.

This thing was AMAZING!
I could say that it was worth my money more than CAI, RSB.

Congrats on the successful install! After trying component matching with separate shock/spring setups, I went with the Tein coilovers (Flex) and never look back.

Congrats!!!!! No edfc needed! Once you get it dialed in you won't change the setting again (most liekly). Now ride them out for a few months and then throw in a RSB and you will be even more amazed at the way it handles! Tein SS rules baby!

Do you need a camber kit?

Already got the RSB though, not that impress compared to after I got my SS installed.
I might switch from Comptech to Progress instead and dialed in more front grip.
I think i'm gonna get the camber kit though.
How is the durability of these TEINs? I'm asking cuz I had it installed yesterday and it starts SNOWING today.

This is from not having a rear camber kit. Too much toe-in in the rear is making the car unstable.

Nope... you will need to take out the seat but you should be able to do that while keeping the amp on the seats.

I wonder how difficult the install would be if I wanted to do it on my own, has anyone done it?

Many people have done, it's not easy however. The SS requires disassembling the stock spring/shock and reusing parts for the Tein's. You need to compress the stock springs using a compressor. If you follow the directions, have a manual and someone to help you, you can do it, but it can take a while if it's your first time.

Yeah geez. Too bad he never posted more pics. This kind of reminds me of this other member that got new Advan wheels who hasn't posted any pics. I forget his user name though

Wow! I can't believe that this thread is alive!
Anyway my car is waiting for a set of FLEX, which is suppose to come in today. So i'll be installing those. SS will be up for sale soon!
As for pics, i'm kind of embarrased cuz my car doesn't have any lip on it and I think it looks funny.

I know you got the car in pieces so it's all good. Take your time. I'm sure it will all be worth the wait.

Why did you decide to switch from Tein SS to Tein Flex?
So with Flex the ride quality is good even if you have a big drop?

TSX536: I switched because I wanted to see the difference between with P/U and without in hoping that it'll get rid of this noise I have. The noise is very faint though, you'd really have to put the car in neutral and radio off. The drop is actually TEIN default drop on my SS and will still be the same as on FLEX.
Another reason is that I WANT EDFC on it and the teflon coatings.
As stated at the subject of the thread, I regreted that I didn't go with FLEX cuz.

Please comment on the Flex's when you put them on. I'm having major problems with deciding whether to go with SS or Flexs. Ride quality is very important to me but I also don't want to run into squeaking problems from the SS.

I can tell you as of right now that if ride quality is your major concern, DON'T go with TEIN. But if TEIN is what you want then skip the FLEX because it has pillow ball upper mount instead of using OEM rubber mount, which will make the FLEX a little bit stiffer but response better.
As for squeaks, there is NONE in the SS except for this VERY FAINT noise. Even my mechanic thinks i'm hallucinating.
If you ask me up front I think SS would be your choice.
