Good suspension installation in Bay Area, CA?
Hi all,
Looking to have new coilovers and an RSB installed in the Bay Area and I know I'm going to get gouged by Acura dealers to have these done. Anyone have any good experiences to relate about a good place to get this done, or is Acura really the place to go?
Thanks in advance!

I think the only parts Acura will install are OEM parts or some do Comptech. I don't think a dealer will install aftermarket coilovers. I could be worng though. Money is money.

hey there,
I have my a-spec and progress rsb installed by Acutech. This is not an Acura shop so prices are reasonable. No problems with the suspension work that they did for me. The shop is located in South San Francisco. I don't have the contact info with me but you could search them online.
Also, when you call ask for Niki.

I can also recommend Faxon St. garage. they work closely with MachIII performance on Ocean ave. in San Francisco.
www.machiii.net give 'em a call.
they mounted and blanced my 18's. babied them all the way, not a scratch.

Thanks for all the quick replies!
I live in San Francisco but work in the South Bay, so frankly, East or West Bay makes very little difference. I'll give Acutech and MachIII a call...
As for the parts themselves, are these just shops, or do they stock parts at a decent price also? I kind of have an idea of how much I can get parts for online, but if these garages can act as a one-stop shop....
Looking at either a Comptech or Progress RSB and debating the whole A-Spec, Tanabe Sustec, Tein Basic question just like any other modification newbie!

Acutech, I believe, is a dealer of Teins, but they also have Tanabes. They were trying to give me a good deal on the coilovers but I already bought the a-spec on the group buy. I'm not sure if they sell RSB.

If you live in San Francisco, like myself, I would go with A-spec. Especially if you have the OEM body kit. Even with A-spec, I rub every now and then on steep inclines. (I work South Bay as well)
If you end up going with the A-Spec and want to hand install, I could probably help out. I installed mine with Tsx536.
Go with the Progress RSB, though. I have the Comptech and it's great but if you ever want an aftermarket exhaust, only Comptech exhaust fits with the Comptech RSB.

If you are in the south bay, Auto Innovation or Exact Motorsports. Great prices, if you are near SAC, there is a guy in forum (i believe a few people know him on here too) does really great work and is very cheap. NO OVERHEAD. PM me if you want his number, he did a few jobs for me in regards to my CL-S and TSX.
