Thumbs up Finally decided on new wheels/tires/suspension..

after my last set of wheels/tires were stolen (see here), i have decided to lose the a-spec completely, since it may be bad luck and pickup lots of new stuff...

i went completely broke today purchasing:

18x7.5 Gram Lights T57-RC

Pirelli PZero Nero M&S 215/45WR18

and

Tein Basics...

woo hoo... now itstime for me to go sell my soul... or body... likely my soul...

maybe you should invest in better car security first.. if you had a good alarm with motion/movement detectors you might of still had your aspecs.

i certainly wouldn't just keep going broke buying new wheels only to have them stolen again.. just my opinion..

Did you have to import those wheels through local shop? How much was it for the rims alone?
I like the look of it a lot.

i finally listened to everyone and got:
1. rid of the a-spec and picked up teins
2. 18s instead of 17s

Whats up zazen, I got those same tires a few weeks ago, same size and everything but mine are on 8" wide rims. They are a good tire, I'm happy with them I think you will be too.

Goes off if the car is tilted, like it would be when someone is jacking your wheels.

Are you sure it's ok to use a 215 width tire on a 7.5 width wheel?

EDIT: I didn't see the post above

i checked, and double checked, and checked about 10 more times... lol... tirerack says:

18x7.5 $319 each
** Lightweight: 23.8lbs. **
Availability: In Stock

Recommended Tire Size:
215/45-18

i just picked any 7.5 width wheel to get this... the only all-season high performance tires they have this size on TR is the pirellis...

You'll be fine. As I say mine are 8.0" and TireRack recommended 215/45-18. They look and work great on the car.

Are you kidding? A 24 pounds wheel is not light. It's just as heavy if not heavier than stock.

my wheels and tires came today... and theyre on... its dark at 4pm so no pics until tomorrow.. but i wont be home until 5... hmm... pics soon...

btw.. theyre gorgeous wheels. everyone who saw them today was like "wow.. those look really great on your car." only problem is that the tires have white crap all over the outside of them... i hope that will wash off. and.. they actually dont look too bad with the a-spec drop but im still doing the tein ss =)
